My next door neighbor of 20 years passed away today.
He was an obnoxious Alabama fan that babysat both of my kids. I did the same for his. He drank my bourbon without asking. I did the same of his.

Sorry for your loss, dude. Lost my best friend since childhood (who was also an obnoxious Bama fan) to suicide a few weeks ago and no one saw it coming. He was THE funniest person I had ever known and I even invited him to come trolling with me on this forum on several occasions but he wasn't into message boards. You never know the internal battles others are facing. The world and life fricking sucks. But life is precious and those you're close to could go at any minute, so be nice and never miss an opportunity to spend time with those you love...

Sorry to hear that.
It's bad to lose a friend, and interestingly enough, especially when they are a fan of another team. There is a weird but special bond there.

Very true. It seems that the boundaries of their psyche are broader than that of most people. To me, it seems that they have the capability to experience human emotions more deeply and to greater extremes.
