Notice how the only people that think it was split 50/50 and was actually a neutral field are Bama fans

You guys suffer from middle child syndrome so bad. We need a fark of Jan Brady wearing Auburn gear saying "Bama! Bama! Bama!"

I have always wanted a 3 year rotation of Tuscaloosa - Cowburn - new Birmingham stadium 50/50. That would be the best for everyone.

Is it still safe? I've been there a couple times and seriously wondered if it was on the verge of being condemned, and that was a few years ago. I get there's a lot of history at Legion Field, but someone needs to step up and pay for restoring it before it's beyond feasible repair.

I mean if it were played at a neutral site this year, Bama would out draw and out number AU fans.

Yeah because the state of Alabama has done so much for us. Despite being visitors in our own godforsaken state, we still keep comin'. We never quit and we never will. Fighting the fat cat establishment and stickin' it to the man. "I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work."

So frick you frickin' fricks. And frick the state of Alabama. We're gonna give you hell on Saturday regardless of the score. May your soul rot in hell and may we be there to piss on you when you die.

The state of Alabama gave you the giant cow pasture you call a campus.

So was there any actual crime committed by the scary black people you guys are referring to, or are all you guys racist pussies who just don't want to be around blacks?

Mississippi is more tolerant of other races than you Bamas

Just because it is "in the past" it makes you think it was special.

That neighborhood sucked, the stadium sucked, the gameday sucked.

Thank God there was a man of wisdom like Coach Dye who helped the Iron Bowl rise to the next level by moving it to home stadiums.

They should rename it the "Dye Bowl".

That part of Birmingham has one of the highest murder per capita rates in the country.

Gangbanger from south centra LA, "Stay away from North Birmingham. Shits dangerous."

Also, black people make up 13% of the population and commit around 50% of the violent crime.

But statistics and facts are racist, and you should never take them into account.

There was a black family that we used to park on their property and then walk to Legion Field. They made the best BBQ I ever had still to this day. You would get a great plate of food and cold cokes for us kids and beer for the adults and your vehicle would be protected. I went to the 84, 87, 88, and 90 Iron Bowls. What I liked about it was there was an emotional, loud reaction after every play good for Bama or good for Auburn. I'd li!me for Auburn to move to the SEC East and let's get rid off permanent cross division games. Maybe we can meet up in Atlanta.

What does this have to do with what I asked? You couldn't wait to use that statistic huh?

If you haven't seen UAB in the last few yrs, take a look at it.

The UA BOT is fiscally responsible for every single thing that has been built on campus. Any UAB alum who thinks otherwise is an idiot. They have turned it into a legitimately nice, modern campus, with green spaces and shiny new buildings.

And yes, I am a UAB grad.

What the frick are you talking about? I thought Ga Tech fans were smart. Do you think I know every black person in Bham?

Facts are facts. You should use facts to make decisions on how/where to spend your time. It's a fact that the area of Birmingham where Legion Field sits is a complete shithole with all kinds of crime, violent and otherwise. The same could be said about much of Birmingham.

That area is not safe. I don't know how it was back then, but now it is not. However, downtown Bham has made tons of strides in the last 3 years and continuing to grow.

If the new BJCC project is approved by the state supreme court and they continue to renovate it to make it larger, then it would be nice to see an IB played there for old times sake. However, I highly doubt Alabama and Auburn would do it.

Since the b-ball programs are trending up, it would be nice to see them maybe play at Legacy arena (also part of the BJCC project). Since they play twice a year, one team could give up a home game one year, then get it back the next.

Neither team is giving up a guaranteed sellout.
