and how do you know he is more talented?

Based on what I have seen in the A-day game and the from the snaps he has taken during the season, he is more elusive and faster/quicker than GMac, he has a much faster, more fluid release than GMac, and has a better arm than GMac. I think most people would agree with me.

"what I have seen in the A-day game"

Most Auburn fans will be saying this exact same statement about Barrett Trotter come spring. We will be saying Trotter will be a good QB because he looked like he was the best QB in this year's A-Day game. But I can respect your assessment as being optimism for your team.

For example, against LSU McElroy was great.

In other games he is one of the better game managers in the league the last few years. He really limits his mistakes, has a great knowledge of the playbook(isn't he a genius or something?), and makes the throws when he needs to. McCarron may have more talent, but no way is he as smart with the football. McElroy was perfect for a Saban team.

Bama's defense will be improved no doubt. I think they should be ranked around 7 or 8 with the unproven QB though. Preseason rankings are worthless anyway.

Your fans are already saying that. But you asked me why I tought AJ was more talented than Gmac, and I told you my answer based on what I saw from last years A Day game and the '10 season.

If LSU had him this year we would have had another Crystal Ball.... FACT

Based on what? I'm not sure how you can say "no way" when you really have no idea. No one does.

I wouldn't question aTm at this point. They do have a whole lot of folks coming back. Now maybe #5 is a bit high, but aTm could be pretty damn good next year.

I'm not convinced Oklahoma should be #1 either. It's typical ESPN crap that the SEC and LSU will continue to put up with.

LSU should be on that list without a doubt. Arguably, they have the most talent of any SECw team coming back.

We've been that for the last 4 years.

The media isn't buying it this time. . .
