The only nut jobs are people like you already proclaiming he will be one of the best ever DE in the SEC. The dude needs to lose thirty pounds or move over.
And again..they played vandy. Lets wait and see when they play a better offense and line.

Everybody's butthurt up in this bitch. I love how LSU fans are trying to convince themselves that RN isn't a good football player.
I guess reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. The original post (by an LSU fan no less) said Nkemdiche was "NFL ready now". The thread has been commented by fans from half the teams in the SEC who simply disagree. Nobody is saying he "isn't a good football player". I have no doubt the day will come but he's got a ways to go before he is "NFL ready".

He's no close to being NFL ready, but he will be soon enough!

Why?

Yeah, I wasn't very impressed with him. Not saying he wont be great, but NFL ready he is not. He showed up late to a lot of tackles. Never really really wrecked havoc at any point.
He could get away with just bull rushing in high school, so he'll have to learn Clowney type moves throughout his career.

Robert Nkemdiche NFL ready now...
No homo but does it look like he needs to drop 20 lbs?
No doubt he is a physical specimen. Disagree with the fat and slow comment made earlier. At the same time, an athlete can carry too much muscle mass where it inhibits there quickness and explosion. If he plays DT, he would be tough to stop at that combo of size and speed. As a DE, he could still do great things at that size, although I think it would probably benefit him in the long run to decrease his weight for speed and quickness, as far as that position is concerned.

Funny. EVERY publication I've read said he had a good night last night. Guess he's a bust because he didn't get 4 sacks and 3 forced fumbles his first game out.
He's got talent, just not NFL ready...yet.
He basically bull rushes every play from the Defensive End position. He just needs to improve some on technique and add a few more moves.
I actually think they should add about 10-12 more pounds of muscle and make him a beast of a Defensive Tackle.

Do you think he's slow?

He's 300 lbs of solid muscle and can run in the 4.6 range. His speed is fine

I guess you are referring to the 11 yd sneak play they ran with him because from what I saw on defense, he has a long way to go.
To be fair, he was just rated as the best prospect and this was his first college game period, on the road. It can take a few games to adjust to the college level similarly to how it can take a year or so to adjust to the NFL. Let's see how much Ole Miss has improved when they begin playing the SEC's best.

Not NFL ready. But he was the best DE on the field last night.
How is the #1 player at Mizzery working out?

Getting to the QB isn't 40 yard unimpeded sprint. It involves getting a (in this case) 300 lb. body out of a 3 point stance around another 300+ lb. body that is already in an upright position and has the anticipation advantage of knowing when the ball will be snapped.

Vanderbilt's offense looked like the 49ers. Sorry I'm not impressed with anyone on Ole Miss' D yet but 11 games left, we'll see what happens.

Why did this have to get moved to the SECr instead of deleted?
Fixed again.
All we need are more rantards refreshing this and hitting "return to board."
