A Tuscaloosa judge did the right thing by ending that fiasco.
After another Tuscaloosa judge signed a TRO allowing him to play, the same type of order Luis got today. Only difference is Sankey let the issue play out in court rather than threaten to kick a school out if the SEC and then sue them
That said, no I don’t think Luis (or any other former pro, regardless of league) should be playing college sports ever again

Even the LSU fans have to admit this is dumb.
Check out Bama's professional BBall player and his eventual overturned TRO...and not a word from the SEC or Sankey...
Then get back to me when you are lucid and serious.

I'd imagine Wade won't roster him. Like he and Kiffin have said along, they'll play along with the SEC's rules. But, don't be surprised when the SEC, Sankey, and the other University voting members get sued for threatening to expel LSU and costing the kid money.
All of its dumb. But, the SEC shouldve just walked away from trying to selectively ignore some TROs and letting kids play, then going overboard and suing parties that aren't even participants in the TROs altogether.
The NCAA created a shite show. But the SEC shouldve just walked in it for a year and moved on.

I’m just saying Sankey is trying like hell to punish us and we never fostered anyone. If he’s successful in punishing us it would be a lot more tolerable if we actually benefitted from it.
What level of success is required for it to be a benefit?

That is my hope. LSU doesn't have to roster him.
But in order to get the injunction don't they need to have someone who wants them to join the roster and thus the need for the injunction to start with?
How does it get started if interest is not expressed?

Attorney Tony Clayton tells me he is preparing a civil damages suit against the SEC and Greg Sankey on behalf of Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris.
They’ll settle that in a second just to avoid potentially having conference communications included in discovery. So I hope they’re stupid and don’t.

I don’t think LSU will actually roster him at this point.
But they definitely planned to prior to all the SEC threats of sanctions or expulsion. So I think Luis’ lawyers needed to get this TRO saying he was eligible so that it would give them a leg to stand on to sue the SEC for financial damages since the only reason LSU wouldn’t roster him is due to SEC’s threats of penalties against LSU

The players actually being on the roster and playing in games would be a start. The NCAA never even punished teams for trying to get players eligible. They did at times make teams vacate wins for playing ineligible players. LSU hasn’t played anyone the SEC said not to play.
The Luis thing started long before even the Kiffin drama Sankey freaked out about. So yeah Will Wade was hoping to roster him but, once the SEC enacted a rule in response to the football players, Wade didn’t roster him

Really? I'd say nothing less than a final 4 would be worth it if you end up getting punished harshly for it.
Hopefully LSU doesn't play them. That makes the most sense. It would sabotage their case.

Any amount since he plans on punishing us anyway.

I think you misunderstood what I said or I misunderstood what you were asking. My interpretation of “at least benefit from it” was we’d be being punished for not even playing someone which is wild and unprecedented.

You haven't been punished yet though.
This could provide a good opportunity for LSU if they don't roster him or give any indication that they want to.
