Overrated but still have the 2 best teams in the nation. Even if we as a whole arent as good as advertised pre-season.. we're still as a whole the best conference in the nation.

The difference between the SEC this year and the BIG 10 every year is that our two top-heavy teams will probably kill the other team in bowl games, instead of getting killed

I have to say, I was worried about Texas until I actually watched them play last night. Despite blowing Kansas out, they were not impressive at all. Florida or Bama's defensive line will absolutely murder their O-Line.

Big 10 and Big 12 obviously aren't.

The only conference that would give the SEC some trouble would be Pac-10, but I think we would still come out mostly on top.

Pac-10 lowers would beat our bottom, but it's definitely not like anyone could say without a doubt that the pac-10 is better.

The entire SECW has lost only two OOC games all year. Both losses were by our celler-dweller MSU dogs, (an 11 point loss to top-10 gA Tech and a 7-point loss to a decent 9-2 Houston team). I'd say we play in a pretty good conference/division.

Posted by the Gayter fan, whose team has played Charleston Southern, Troy, and FIU. Next up, showdown with a juggernaut 6-5 FSU bunch.

Alabama and Florida would both have two losses by now if they were in the Pac 10.

Hate to say it, but that's the best conference in football this year. They have as much talent, better coaching, and much better offenses.

You're right.

Florida would probably still be unbeaten. But you guys wouldn't be able to kick 18 field goals a game and beat those teams. Their special teams units alone would score three touchdowns a game against your coverage team.

The PAC 10 has one team in the top 15 and they allowed Stanford to score 51 points.

Cal lost a game 42-3 and were blown out in three games.

Oregon State has been ok. They've lost 3 but stayed in most games. Losing to Arizona at home wasn't great.

The Trojans are awful. They lost to a horrible Washington team and lost by a combined 102 to 41 margin to Oregon and Stanford.

I'm not seeing where the Pac 10 is that strong.

What's that got to do with anything? Like most people, I can see that we stand no chance this year, but we're also not a Pac 10 team.

Did Saban beat Auburn in 2007?

I didn't think so. Let us get a recruiting class under our belt and for Saban to bolt for Notre Dame and then we'll talk.....

I really believe that USC, Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, Arizona, and possibly Washington would all beat you. Alabama is a beneficiary of past SEC success, but they are all defense and nothing else. Ingram is alright, but not as good as his reputation. Julio is just an Anthony Mix clone. In short, your offense isn't that good.

The good news for you guys is that the SEC sucks this year and a lot of typically strong defensive teams have struggled all year.

The SEC west has five top 25 teams, imo.

We've only lost two OOC games as a division with State dropping both of them.
