Funny to read BS from a Georgia two old
Arky will remain Auburn’s bitch and Georgia will be begging to drop the Auburn game in two years.
Funny, the Georgia fan didn’t know about Wyoming.
“If he can win at East Carolina and Wyoming, he can anywhere.”
If he can win at Boise State. Another Auburn Coach changes the SEC.

I mean no one knows how he'll pan out. If I was an Auburn fan, I'd be optimistic due to how he's won everywhere he has coached. I'd like the fact that he was young. He was apparently a QB in college and a QB coach later on, so that might help with developing Bo Nix's raw talent.
On the flipside, he's never coached in the SEC. He's coached only one year in the South. Can he recruit down here? Can he handle the pressure that comes along with a big job?
I think Auburn could have done worse. They possibly could have done better, but until he coaches a season or two, no one knows.
Well said, BHMKyle.
In truth no one really knows how this could work out, but tRant wouldn't be tRant if we didn't at least try to shite all over it first.
It's sort of why we're all here.

Because I'm sure you knew he was the GOAT when he arrived at LSU after a mediocre record at MSU.
Point is, no one knows for sure.

How about a coach that play OL at UGA and was hired away from Wyoming?
I am genuinely confused. Who was this?

Seems like the best hire they could've made after ULL's & UAB's coaches turned them down. Hell, I thought Steele was all but assured to be the guy at that point.

Remember when a coach came from Wyoming with a 5-6 record to coach at AU? What was his name? Pat something.

No, WE Aren't all here for that. God forbid somebody can have an actual discussion here without the fricking trollfest that always comes.

The UGA grad who became our best coach.

Auburn isn't going anywhere. They aren't going to be passed by the Mississippi schools or little Arkansas. It doesn't matter who the coach is at Auburn, they all have the same resume over time. A few great seasons, a few seasons of struggles, and a lot of 8-4 type years in between.
It's been that way for 40 years spanning the previous 5 coaches. I don't see that changing.
Sadly, I think this bulldawg has just nutshelled Auburn Football. In other words....bama, UGA and LSU...relax. Arky, A&M, Miss schools...don't get too excited.

Wait. Someone who played OLine at UGA and was hired away from Wyoming?
I got nothing.
I'll turn them in.....so now tell me. I'm not really good with riddles and cryptic hints.

Crap. Pat Dye? I had no idea he was at Wyoming. I was thinking a bit more recently. And I alos had no idea he played on the Oline.
Thanks for at least giving me a credible hint.

All American at UGA
Named the fricking field for him at Auburn.

Just as a way of explanation about my name. It does not mean that Georgia football is my life. I was trying to find a name where there wasn't a ton of similar names (Fail on that try) and the phrase that kept popping into my head was "It's a dogs life."

You do know about Dooley's ties to Auburn, right?
Posted on 12/23/20 at 8:29 am to Murph4HOF
I mean...I get it. But the only hints I had were "played Oline at UGA and was hired from Wyoming"
I had no idea what position Dye played, nor do I really care.

I knew that Dye had ties to Georgia and that Dooley had ties to Auburn, yes. I just didn't realize Dye had coached at Wyoming....and I figured if somebody was going to use an example of somebody coming from a small school and being successful it would be a bit more recent than 60 years ago.

I swear some of our fans are as bad as UTK and UAT fans.

Damn, I'm old but Dye was named HC in my lifetime!
More like 40 years ago
