RIP and prayers sent to your family.

Oh this makes me so sad.

I wonder if we could set up some kind of paypal account so people could donate for an arrangement for the funeral?

Anyone in the area have any idea how we could do something like that?

I was not acquainted with the gentleman, but the plethora of schools represented in this thread speaks volumes toward the type of man he was in life.

One finds that condolences stems from the latin phrase condolere meaning "to suffer together". To the family of the poster, please see this thread as a testement to the fact that you are not alone during your time of loss.

Steven4bama, I hope you find the distant shore to be filled with that which you so obviously loved. The crisp autumn breeze on the Quad, the first few chords of "Yeah Alabama", and the crash of crimson jerseys for you forever.

I'm BACK !!! (Posted on 10/26/09 at 10:14 a.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After many e-mails, texts, and phone calls about where the heck have I been and why I havn't been posting, I have decided to bring my knowledge and wisdom back to the board since it is LSU game next for the Tide.

Afer receiving 42 e-mails with extremely vulgar statements and personal threats to not only me, but also my family by some of the posters on here, I decided this board wasn't worth it and it wasn't for me. I understand that I shouldn't have let it get to me, but I did and now I have decided to come back full force.

Wife and I are doing good. Our exchange student from Norway is here and having a blast. Here are a few pics..........

I wonder how these people (posters) feel today after reading of his death.

I hope this isn't tacky, but I posted a message on the funeral home's guest book.

quote:

I never met Steven in real life, but knew him through his posts on a sports message board we both frequented. He was a funny and classy guy, and he will be missed by those of us who had the pleasure to converse with him.
The thoughts and prayers of the entire message board will be with you, his family and friends, in this trying hour.

That's awful. That guy had a rough last 5 or six years. Seems like he said his sister died of cancer a few years ago and I think about the time he first started posting he said his house caught on fire and burned down.
