Oklahoma's QB depth chart is stacked. Probably more than Bama's.

Drew Allen - Sophmore and Blake Bell - Freshman with Kendal Thompson coming in this year.

both are very good. He would have a easier time beating out McCarron and Sims than Allen and Bell.

Anyway, according to OU insiders as of this afternoon, Gunner isn't going to OU.

But still, OU will have a QB competition after this season with Laundry Jones leaving, and Gunner will get there in January.. Not to mention him being aware of DGB probably committing there in the end.

'Bama will have a definite QB after this season is over, and no competition. And he'll start until he graduates or goes to the NFL (whether it be Sims or McCarron).

It doesn't matter.. As of today its

1. Bama
2. Mizzou
3. Oklahoma

DGB wanting to go where a top QB goes is being blown waaaay out of proportion. He doesn't even know Gunner Kiel, yet they want to play together, per OU fans, and now many other people are taking off with it.

McCarron will be NFL eligible (3 years out of hs) after this season & Sims will be after next. I doubt either leaves after just one year, but if Sims starts this year he could leave after next (2 yrs as SEC starter).

Again, the staff feels really good about Gunner as of today (at 3:45p, lol)

This would all be easier if we knew who the starter would be, and if the guy that lost the QB was going to transfer If McCarron were to win it and Sims were to transfer, Gunner would have a perfect situation to come into at 'Bama.

The fact TT did a complete 180% so easily after calling Kiel to OU "common sense" earlier in the thread..

When I said "common sense", I meant it as Gunner would have a chance to compete at OU since Laundry is probably leaving after this season. At 'Bama, they'll know for sure who the starter will be for possibly the next 4 years (if Sims won the job and stayed all 4 years). Plus the fact that OU just landed Neal and will probably land DGB on NSD. Let's face it, OU has a wide open offense and the athletes to go with it.. Plus they compete for championships just like 'Bama (granted they aren't in the SEC).

From what bamasgot13 was saying, he's been told by his sources that Gunner will probably commit to 'Bama, and I believe what he's saying. But, to me, it's common sense to go to OU.. That would be my choice at least, if he's as good as everyone thinks (and I think he is).

Didn't mean to make it that long

I know oklahoma people think it is between them and indiana (yes, indiana), but that wld be a total shock to Bama staff. The feel good. They had a kid a camp (didnt tell me his name) that impressed them, but they told him they'd let him know about an offer next week - which I took to mean "this kid is plan c for no gunner & no winston".

What correlation does Kiel have with Neal and DGB? All I'm saying is that if you can be swayed that fast by "faceless sources", I got some prime real estate on the moon I think you'd like...

Kiel has no connection to either. OU fans started the rumor about Kiel and DGB wanting to play together. It then got passed around as "common knowledge". However, DGB has only said that he wants to sign with a "top QB" in his class. As for Neal, he certainly had no connection other than seeing Kiel at some camps. I think people overreacted with his commitment to OU. Most felt that Alabama would land him, because of his comments about growing up an Alabama fan. His dad was also from Birmingham.

I'm just saying that it would be exciting to play with them.. Having the opportunity to play with them would definitely sway me towards OU.

DGB isn't OU's yet. And I don't think Neal will be solid throughout the entire process.

This is true for most prospects at this point but Stoops is good at getting kids to honor their word like the Puppet Master.

No. Your mom won't leave me alone long enough to check in on Ricky's commitment plans.

She's annoying as hell. Like mother like daughter though, huh CPA?
