Too bad that's not what the NCAA says
Wins are wins
Wins are wins

What's hilarious is that you think you are some sort of naturally dominant foe to us -- even though you've never lived to see ANYTHING remotely resembling that on the field.
He's giving you the facts, and you're adjusting the point of reference and time frame. It sucks to suck

So, does that mean you are willing to accept the facts that we are dominant to you in both baseball and basketball?
ETA: Actually, that's a bad comparison -- because we actually have a winning record against you in both sports in all of our lifetimes...

This has been obvious for months now.

I've never heard a fellow Rebel say that you guys weren't better than us in those 2 sports historically.

So since you lost the football debate, you're switching sports now? haha

Exactly. State baseball put SEC baseball on the map and the basketball conversation may be even more ridiculous. Nobody is arguing those sports.

It's out of the realm of possibilities for State to accept being inferior to us in anything. Where as we can freely admit that our basketball and baseball programs, historically, do not stack up.

Lost what football debate?
OM fans bring up the all-time record as a crutch to the fact that none of the rules that allowed that "history" to be written still apply. Will we ever make up the difference in overall record? Probably not. Not in my lifetime anyway. Ever since Vaught/Bear caused the signing limits -- and integration -- the series is very near even -- and probably always will be from that logical starting point. That encompasses 99% of the audience of this discussion's lifetimes...
It is just funny to me that OM fans think we should bow to a history that we've never seen written. I'm sorry, but the "poor ole State" mentality is dead. You will never sustain superiority to us in anything. The sooner you come to terms with that, the better off everyone will be -- and viceversa. The Stansbury-era is the greatest dominance in a single big 3 sport that either school is ever likely to see.
Comparing both baseball programs right now, which is better? I'd say they are equal -- if not a slight edge to OM because of Swayze being superior at this point. Chances are, we never sustain dominance over you in that sport again, either. Thanks Polk for becoming lazy allowing that to be built right up the road.
So, should I have a natural superiority complex in those sports because of what happened in my childhood and before I was born? The answer, to me, is no.

Because 61-42-6 is the record no matter how you slice it champ. The Bear gets to keep his titles before scholarship limitations and we get to keep our wins. DWI

Very near even means you are still losing the series? And that's a logical starting point to you, because you're being subjective. It's funny to me that you can't admit when you're wrong. Wake up!

My lifetime is the logical starting point for me. Or more precisely -- the first Egg Bowl I ever attended or even cared about -- the first back in Starkville in 1991.
I don't brag about the golden days of State baseball -- because I wasn't there to see them.

But they are something to be prized. Help make SEC baseball what it is. Come on...

I haven't spoken to my aunts or uncles, but I'm sure they would probably say the same?
