Seems to be fine with a few coaching changes to try and right some wrongs on play calling and position coaching, along with a top 15 recruiting class.
Fair enough. At least you acknowledge changes needed to be made.

We should win 6-7 imo.
Not impossible for sure. I think the OSU game is HUGE for y'all.

I still can't figure out what industry that town was built on? Whatever it was left a long time ago... It's like little Detroit there.

Made it to the Chevy dealership with a single tooth left in an Allison -- Completely lost it 3 or 4 times in town before getting them to mesh again enough to limp in... Lost everything but third gear about England

If we don't fix the playcalling(aka Mullen taking over playcalling and relinquishing special teams) on offense, there weren't enough changes made -- and I'm still going to be calling the offseason a failure.
I love the changes we made to fix the defense that was a problem last year, after being very good for 2 years. Now hold the offensive staff's feet to the fire and fix the offense that's been a problem for all 4 years.
It kills me that more State fans don't see the offense as a huge problem(bigger than the defensive problem statistically). It still sucks. Since it's light years better than Croom, they give it a pass though...

42-14>38-17>41-24
So technically we should be ranked number 2 behind Alabama

Best player was hurt.

I agree
Ole Miss is on the rise while State is gonna have to get their act together to keep up with the Rebels

You haven't beaten us 61 times period in 110 years. Vaught was a tremendous coach though...
We haven't?
According to Wikipedia we lead all time 61-42-6.
Oh, and it's so cute for you to flippantly dismiss the streak we had when Vaught was coach all the while ignoring your streak of 13 victories during the 1910's and -20's.

Um, more wins.

Last I checked, the highest ranked team in the past 40 years in MS was MSU in 1999
Ole Miss at #4 in the early part of 2009 - surely you haven't forgotten that. (Oh wait, let me guess, you're going to say "postseason ranking" or whatever, just like you always do; you get proven wrong, then you move the goddamn goalposts.)

MSU also the only team to go to Atlanta.
With 8 wins. Nobody's impressed except for you rubes.

Don't make me pull out my calculator and destroy this argument again. Look at the actual numbers instead of the stereotype. We are on pace to surpass you in endowed assets in the next 4-5 years.
Don't make me pull out a goddamned logic lesson to show you how your "on pace to suck our own dicks" record or whatever is total hogshit.

Like most decrepit towns in the South, it was probably the railroad. Once the interstate replaced the railroad as the primary means of land shipment in the US, the need for major railway hubs (such as Meridian) all but disappeared.
