A report is out early this morning that a conglomerate based in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks to take ownership of the University of Tennessee baseball team.

The conglomerate, formed during the summer and fall of 2022, took their first steps toward that goal on the evening of March 30th, 2023, after a visit from the Tennessee baseball team. Two meetings remain , tonight March 31st and tomorrow April 1st, before ownership is considered complete.

Asked about the takeover, the group's architect Jay Johnson is quoted as saying, "Two to geaux, then Tennessee will be 3-6 in league play. At this rate, there is no hope for them to host a Super Regional in that tee-ball park they call a stadium - and really, that's what this is about. No self-respecting team trying to get to Omaha should have to play a series there. It's an insult to baseball, so we're just doing our part for the greater good."

The architect for Tennessee, Tony Vitello, could not be reached for comment. However a troubling report is out as well that someone fitting his description was last seen being eaten by Mike the Tiger near the football stadium.

Know what else happened in 2017?

LSU actually won games in Omaha and played for its SEVENTH national title.

Not to fan the flamer but if trying to make an argument why would you not start at 1-6? Bringing up 4-8 derails your own argument and makes your case weaker.

Bunch of LSU fans who haven't watched baseball since 2017 forgetting you don't make these threads until you've won the series

Because that’s when we got a real coach, and Vitello 1st year at UT.

They forget about what happened to UT last year. UT was one of the greatest teams in history and lost I super regionals. UT was 57-9 and had 10 players drafted. Hell UT #9 hitter had double digit Home runs. The collection of talent on that team was just unreal. It was a travesty they didn’t make it to Omaha for sure. But as well seen it could end on 1 weekend against a team that’s a bad matchup. But guess LSU will be the next team to figure that out.

Man it’s good to see you post. I was worried your mouth got you into trouble leaving Alex Box last night. I’m glad you are ok. I made a thread to give you a wellness check, but when you didn’t respond I feared the worst had happened.
