It can't be superbowl sunday every Saturday. Enjoy the rent a wins as they give your team a chance to play the youngsters and walk ons. This generation of brats wants nailbiters every Saturday, get over it.

Hopefully if an extended playoff format becomes a reality, teams will be encouraged to schedule better OOC games.

I agree. This shite is downright embarrassing. They could trot out an average high school team and it would probably be less embarrassing. frick football today.

Your entertainment over the increased risk of injuries and physical status of the team? Sometimes the team needs more than just a bye week. Put up big numbers on a team early and then rest your starters.

You have 120+ teams in the FBS. Of those only 15 or so can truly be great in a given year. This isn't like the NFL where every team could beat the other on a given day.

Hell yes. Football is big because people like me watch it for entertainment. At the end of the day, it's about me and the millions of others like me, not the team.

If you don't want to risk getting injured, go play badminton.

This OOC scheduling sucks.

This isn't pro football. Those are kids, who have to balance training with school. They can't dedicate all of their time to strength and endurance training.

The liability is too high and the NFL might start drafting kids earlier so they don't have the draft the pile of bones the players will become after a full slate of tough games.

What kind of experience is your backup going to get when your starter has already thrown for 4 TDs in the first half?

Scheduling Furman, Ga. State or any directional school is embarrassing. Expanding the schedule has led to nothing but shitty OOC games.

And the "SEC is strong enough" poppycock. It's always s,3-4 really good teams then a bunch of average.

Be that as it may, I like seeing our young players get to play an entire half while the starters rest on the sidelines.

First of all GSU should have never been approved for 1-A status.

I would like to see a basketball style tournament for football though..take the conference champs from FBS & FCS and only add at-large teams from the FBS.

It's a disgrace. A program of Alabama's stature has no business whatsoever playing a game like this. It's not even sporting.

Totally agree. They keep complaining about dwindling attendance, but there are only 3 or 4 games a year worth attending. D-1 is waaayyyy too big. Needs to be the Big 5 conferences in their own division and no games outside of those Big 5 conferences.
