I’m not upset about it, lol.
We have to go to Florida, Georgia, and A&M next season.

All those posts about CFB being better than ever tend to overlook total shitshow issues like this. The expansion and loss of divisions and the SECCG next year are all changes for the worse.

It is unprecedented...
but...
It's a lot like when Roy Kramer changed things around and Tennessee didn't play Auburn at all from 1992 through 1997 after playing them every season from 1956-1991....

From 1956-1991, Tennessee and Auburn played each other 34 straight years, and in the 35 years since then have played each other 12 times (average of once every 3 years).
From 1956-1991, Tennessee and Ole Miss played each other 34 straight years, and in the 35 years since then have played each other 8 times (average of once every 4.5 years).

Of all the changes in college football, I feel like conference expansion and playoff expansion are the worst.
On the bright side with no SECCG every 3 loss Bama and Ole Miss team will hang banners in the stadium. I’m sure the 2026 West Division champs is already out for print right now.
Ole Miss has banners despite never playing in a conference championship game in the school’s history.
