BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Planned Parenthood has received a $250,000 donation for its new Birmingham clinic from a critic of Alabama’s attempt to ban abortion. Planned Parenthood Southeast said Thursday that Hugh Culverhouse donated the large sum to support the relocation of its Birmingham location. Planned Parenthood is building a 10,000-square foot (929-square-meter) health clinic. Culverhouse said he has long supported Planned Parenthood and opposes a new Alabama law that seeks to ban abortion.

quote:

Culverhouse recently ended a feud with the University of Alabama. Culverhouse had once called for a boycott over the abortion ban, but the university indicated their relationship had soured for other reasons. In a joint statement, the university and Culverhouse has said they had different views on the law school’s future. The university returned a $21.5 million donation from Culverhouse.

Liberalism has eroded his brain.

Props to UA for having dignity. I’m sure the fetus that don’t get mutilated will grow up to be Tide fans.

The real issue I had was this fool thought he could shape University position on such a controversial issue for a measly 22 million dollars. Hell yeah Bama gave him the money back and took his name off the building, and sent a strong message to those who think they can buy the University's stance on political issues.

Well, they expect 2 patients to show up, but only one will get to leave.

It’s the only time I ever sent money to UA.

That took nuts and I wanted to reward them for it.

More powerful than Queen Elizabeth and Oprah.
Contracts billions of dollars with the world's most powerful militaries.
Rubs elbows with presidents, kings, prime ministers and Nick Saban.

But hey, Tim's little phones and his black turtlenecks look neat.

I lived in the highlands area in Birmingham and they have one in the neighborhood, it’s not a big place.
