So Saban has been officially dethroned.

The king was schooled via a younger, more aggressive mastermind that completely outcoached him last night in every possible way. Along the way, he set a blueprint for the rest of the SEC giants to see.

Saban looked like he was tired. His team seemed disinterested. Clemson destroyed the man myth once and for all in one night.

Many expect Dabo will eventually coach at Alabama.

It will never happen.

Danny Ford was also an Alabama alumnus; however once he got the Clemson, he never left either. It was simply a better environment for him there. So was Arkansas.

It is what it is.

For Clemson, its not going to change anytime soon. Dabo has a 19 year old quarterback for the generations who is easily Tua's equal. and Clemson is loaded for years to come.

As hard as it is to image, Clemson has succeeded more than A(L)abama has over the last four years. While both teams have won 2 titles each, and have won 55 games each, and beaten each other twice Clemson has one more conference title than A(L)abama, and this beat down was no fluke.

Its not that A(L)abama lost yet again, it's how they lost to the same team they have played and prepared for now for 4 years straight. Most of the time against Clemson, Bama has always had the talent advantage, and even this year still had it.

It matters not.

Plain and simple, Saban was thoroughly out coached. It was if he said, "yeah, that's all I got" when the Les Miles wanabee attempted a fake FG fully seeing Clemson was set up for it.It reminded me of when the SEC caught up to Spurrier. Kirby as a younger coach doing it was one thing. The former king of college football doing it is another.

And the sad truth for A(L)abama fans is that SEC is about ready to get Saban.

UGA is ready to pounce, and should have had them already. LSU, UF. And even aTm are now hunting again. There may be 5 SEC teams in the Top 10 next year. It appears many have taken notice in Tuskaloser as 4 coaches and 7 underclassman, including Josh Jacobs and Quinnen Williams, have gotten the hell out of there before the shite really hits the fan next year. The blueprint has been cast.
The talent gap is narrowing.

Any way you look t it, the head coach for the ages looked like a very tired, old man.

Perhaps Saban is done. Like Spurrier in 2000, he sees the handwriting on the wall.

The typical dumbass Gump will only think it's natural then that Dabo comes home, right?

Wrong.

Dabo is already home. And there are ZERO reasons for Dabo to go to A(L)abama.

At Clemson, he will never have to worry about being compared to Nick Saban or Bear Bryant. He will always have to deal with simple minded Gumps.

The Clemson fan base will adore him until he dies. Bama fans will forever compare him.

He can recruit lights out at Clemson, given his success against who some thought was the greatest college coach of all time. He has little competition, unlike the meat market that is SEC recruiting.

And, oh by the way, he currently has no competition whatsoever that can match Clemson in the ACC. He could easily make the playoffs every year for the next half decade, given the state of that pathetic conference.

Why would Dabo even consider it? He'd would have to deal with the likes of LSU, Georgia, Auburn Florida, aTm, all equally talented gigantic programs that could win a NC title any year as well. Year in, year out. Forever.

Not so much in ACC country.

Poor Dabo, has to deal with Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, Pitt, even Miami and Florida St. This isn't 1990 anymore. Clemson is light years ahead of all their ACC counterparts.

And the money is just fine on that side of the track, guys.

Oh yeah, Clemson is a pretty great place to live, unlike that shithole called Tuscaloser.

Bama fans should be happy. It was a great run at the expense of UGA, Auburn, LSU and Florida, all who should have had one or additional NCs by now in the 21st century.

But it's over. That day.....is here.

The king is dead.
Long live the king.

Oh.....and have a GREAT day.

Saban can't coach. Saban only wins because he has great players. Clemson won, the king is dead. Clemson and UGA are pushing Saban off the throne.

Except...

Saban has the current top signing class for 2019 and the top or one of the top classes lining up for 2020.

If Saban only wins because he has great players and Saban is still one of (if not the) best recruiter out there... Saban is far from done. The shelf has enough on it for a couple of more good years at least. So much for the "misty" future and your hopes and dreams
