At the time, LSU was the #4 team in the country, stacked with talent including a QB expected to be in NYC for the Heisman, and $95mm coach playing with his players after a few years of recruiting. Y’all were the best team in Louisiana until we absolutely fricking broke you and the wheels fell off.

I agree, Tulane is not head and shoulders better than LSU. No, LSU and Tulane are pretty even. They have the same number of playoff appearances all time. Even though Tulane’s record the last three seasons is better than LSU’s; 31-11 vs. 26-12;

That was with Kifiin as the Ole Miss HC. Now without Kiffin being the Ole Miss HC, Ole Miss has played a pretty good game against Tulane.
