I'm not sure who the author of the article is but ask yourself how many times each team wins of they played more than one time during a single year?

Bama has better athletes and more depth at many positions. Saturdays outcome was a perfect storm and I don't think indicative of us being a better team. I think we will be equals in the future to Bama and LSU but that isn't the case this year.

Sorry but Bama is still the best team in the West (and likely the conference).

Disagree. I think you get the same result 7/10 times. Hell, A&M's assistant coach (I believe D coordinator) even said A&M should have beaten bama worse.

A 'reality check' isn't so bad when you're still alive for a conference and national title. It could be worse I suppose.

This part is really telling. Bama has been outplayed by the two good teams they have played this year.

Meh. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year according to most on here and many national pundits. If you had told me in June that we would be 9-1 going into week 11 with a chance to clinch the West with a win over a 3-8 Auburn team, I'd have creamed my britches.

Our performance over the last two games doesn't change any of that. Barring a major catastrophe, we're still going to win the West and have a shot at the SEC championship with an outside shot of making it back to the National Championship for the 3rd time in the last 4 years.

Life is good in Tuscaloosa.

Being defensive now isn't going to save Auburn from the curb stomping that will be administered in 12 days. You guys ran your mouths for months after the 2010 game and are rubbing our noses in the A&M loss. I hope for your sake you guys come ready to play because we WILL try to run up the score if we get the chance. Especially with an SEC title game berth on the line and the blown lead 2 years ago.

So you think Bama turns the ball over 21 more times?

Stop just... just stop.

And regardless of how strongly you Auburn fans refuse to admit it - this has Auburn folks in a full blown depression.

If Alabama were 3-7 right now, Gene Chizik's job would be safe - and that's a fact.

No, I said you people thought it would be. Go read through the threads from June and July. Until Bobby Petrino was canned, many on here picked us to finish 3rd in the West. We knew differently, and we were called delusional for it, but we certainly weren't expecting to go undefeated this year.

Probably. The 3 ints were not a fluke. AJ has not been put in a come from behind position like that ever before at bama. He is not used to having to come from behind and make plays. First time he had to he failed.

As always you're blurring the line between fans and players. You talk about running up the score like you, personally, are going to be down there making the decision.

No. The first time he had to, he orchestrated one of the best come-from-behind victories in Alabama football history.

There were only two. He's got a bum knee AND a bum shoulder. AJ is hurt worse than our staff is admitting to. But him playing hurt is still better than what the result of us playing our backups would be.

Accepted that a couple of months ago. In fact, bama needs to try to win 70-0 to assure AU makes wholesale changes, hopefully to the AD as well. The bigger the arse kicking, the better.

Course this thread is supposed to be about bama, not AU.

As if other qbs who is on a comeback attempt has never thrown an Int. Aj had 2 50+ throws down the field on 2 different drives stalled by an fumble and a pick in the endzone.

Two ints actually and one strip. One of those ints came off just hiding the coverage well. The second int came from a play that should have never been call.
