No.
Fans who still have issues with this are delusional. Two best teams played, and the best one.
Lots of sour grapes from my own fan base.

It's as simple as this.
Unless you're a fricking retard.

So it was completely obvious in the rematch it wasn't going to work and as noted, going deep to stretch the field too often was out with LSU's secondary. So the short controlled passing game and TE was the obvious answer. How LSU was not prepared for that is a mystery.
Between our dominant defense and the way we kind of "turned it on" in the Arkansas and Georgia games, I think a bit of arrogance settled in.

That game was the best game I've ever seen.

And 21-0
Few of us would be complaining if LSU had taken care of their business.

I love games like that. I hate the high flying pussy defense games. They're stupid and show lack of discipline.

Got shut out but the game was still competitive going into the fourth.

A couple of plays could have made the difference.
It was still within reach, but LSU froze up before coming out of the tunnel. They were never going to win that game. I knew when LSU took the field it was going to be rough.

LSU's offense during that game was sluggish as butts, but they weren't trailing that badly. In all honesty, if they'd gotten ANY big play, they were right back in it.

Maybe this needs to be explained to you. OSU jumped stanford due to the SOS boost by playing in the Big 12 championship game. Everyone knew this was going to happen well in advance if they won as well.
I think we should all just hang tight until Dickless n Miami explains this mythical Big 12 Championship Game that apparently happened in 2011. She took the time to stick her vag in this thread. The least we can do is wait for her to bomb us with THE TRUTH.
I mean, we need FACTS here, people.

Yeah, I don't think there was any danger of that happening at any point.
It's impressive how Jefferson spent 4 years playing football here and almost never showed an ounce of leadership.

He definitely won the Reggie Ball award for being the worst 4 year starting QB in the country his senior year.

Look this game shouldn't have never happened, but it did. Whether Saban convinced the media or not. This game was a nightmare for LSU and it showed because Alabama had everything to win and LSU everything to lose. And that's what happened.

That's about the best way to sum it up.

So, within a system in which the #1 and #2 teams play one another in a championship game, the #1 and #2 teams shouldn't play one another?
Great logic.
