The context he was giving was that Davis finished with 6.7 YPC. It's a legitimate point. Why can Davis hit 6.7 YPC and Scarlett can only get 4.9 YPC.

It is legitimate. What was different? Were there any starting OLinemen that was out with the arrests? This is not a troll. Just trying to get you to see his point.
Scarlett's 5.0 was over the course of a full season while Davis' 6.7 was against the first half of last season. Scarlett faced teams like FSU and Bama while the toughest Ds Davis faced were probably LSU, Kentucky, and Texas A&M. Scarlett was also in more of a workhorse role while Davis broke some big runs as a change-of-pace back that really bring up his average (most notably the run against UT where he fumbled out of the end zone).

Davis is a good back but if both are healthy Scarlett is the starter most likely

Maybe because Malik Davis is a true freshman and played in 2017 behind a different line then Scarlett did in 2016 because he was suspended. Could that be the answer to your question? That’s completely looking over the fact they are entirely different backs.

First of all Fromm shouldn’t be #8 and Franks should be like #12 because he sucks. Secondly you are kidding yourself if you think LSU has a better backfield in 2018 than Florida. It’s not even close, IMO. They will miss Guice and Williams.

I don't think anybody thinks this. But the whole point came about when the poster said that Fromm would be closer to #8 in the SEC because he lost Chubb and Michel. Fair enough, but Georgia still has better RB's than Florida, so why does Franks get the big bump up and Fromm moves down?
I don't disagree with any of this and was moreso responding to the idea that Scarlett is just an okay back

He didn't do too shabby at all against the SEC's #3 ranked defense in MSU (better than Fromm).

This isn't true.
Ta'amu 10/22 247yds 2TD 1INT
Fromm 9/12 201yds 2TD 0INT

It was early in the year and Fromm didn't need to throw much, but I would say Fromm had the better game.

Fair enough. That is context. FTR, I think Scarlett is a very good back. But his point was a legitimate one.

Yep, you're right. I misread the INT column.

Absolutely. I was not arguing against Scarlett, just trying to show some context to his questions.

Obviously. There would be no arguing if they were the same back. But if one RB has 1300yards because he is a change of pace and the other gets 600 yards because he is a grinder, most people would say the 1300 yard back is the better back. Simply crowing a back better because he is a grinder or different style back makes no sense.

Again. I think Scarlett is a very good back. I do think, though, that Georgia's RB's are better, which is what started this whole mess.

Bentley gonna be top 5 with Deebo back.

Fromm should be #4. Only idiot would not have him top 5 right now. Could he disappoint this year? Absolutely! Soph slumps are real...but for now, he's def top 5.

Franks is pure garbage and Lock is about as overrated as it comes.

Stidham, Fromm, Tua, Fitz (maybe pre injury), and Bentley top 5

Only an idiot would keep Lock out of their top 5.

Don't get me wrong. Ta'amu did well against Miss. State. I was not trying to insinuate he did not. I was being more picky than anything.

But I'm glad you threw in Bama at #2 for anybody who was still taking you serious.

Agreed. JoeMo will likely send Fitz to New York and contend for an SEC Championship

If you ranked Franks any higher than 14th. You'd be wrong

UGA's run game is going to drop off a lot. Why do you insult some all time greats for your school?

As for these pictures you posted:
7 is fat
13 looks like an oompa loompa
24 is slow
3 might do OK

Said stars and stripes when gurley got hurt and then left early. Joke was on you. We reload at rb. Not an insult to any of them, but rather a source of pride.
