Ranking the SEC Quarterbacks for 2018

Taking a guess at the starters here with a few caveats:
LSU - no clue who will get the nod there. I don't have a copy of the binder
A&M - not sure what direction Fisher will take A&M's offense but I worry about him, pictures of him just don't look healthy. Feel bad for the guy.
Bama - I think it will be a two-headed monster. Locksley has had some dynamic offenses. With Tua's injury and the need to keep growing him into the position, I think he and Hurts end up with even reps by season's end.
Looks like the SEC will again be very respectable at QB.
1. Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State - now a senior, and back from injury, I expect him to put it all together this season. He has all the tools to dominate at the college level. If Mullen was still at MSU I'd say Fitz would be invited to NY for the Heisman ceremony. Not sure things can get that lofty for him though, with a new staff.
2. Bama - both guys are great and Locksley won't have to limit the playbook too much for either, they'll just rotate based on situations so Locksley can coach 'em up, in my opinion. By season's end I expect Bama to win the SEC again, get in the playoff again, and win the title again, with Hurts being the special situations guy by that time.
3. Jarrett Stidham, Auburn - He should come into his own this year and cause a lot of problems for opponents. With a few breaks, could easily be best in the conference and a legit Heisman contender.
4. Feleipe Franks, Florida - really taking a risk with this, but shark banger and chain smoker were horrible coaches. Dan Mullen is like a wizard with QB's, so Franks makes giant strides this year. That being said, it may very well not be Franks as the starter at UF. I've heard some people refer to Trask as Tebow-lite, so who know what will happen there. This spot is really about Mullen's reputation more than anything else.
5. Jake Bentley, South Carolina - has the IT factor but is probably a year away.
6. Drew Lock, Mizzou - lots of talent but doesn't strike me as being a winner or elevating the performance of those around him. Reminds me of Rosen from UCLA, lots of skill but not very inspriing results.
7. Jordan Ta’amu, Ole Miss - Tua-lite, solid player all around, will be fun to watch.
8. Jake Fromm, Georgia - I like this kid but feel like last year he had the best backfield in the nation behind him and that helped a lot. I think he comes down to earth this year. Could easily flip him and Franks though. Next year though, he could be at the top of the conference.
9. A&M - Fisher knows QB play, but unless and until he looks healthy I won't have high expectations for A&M.
10. Cole Kelley, Arkansas - assuming he's the starter, really not sure what will happen there; but it seems there are too many holes on the roster for anyone to really shine at QB.
11. Jarrett Guarantano, Tennessee - talented but no confidence in Pruitt to produce a good offense until proven otherwise. Always got the vibe that Pruitt was a lockerroom cancer waiting to happen.
12. LSU - feel bad for LSU fans, just don't think O is the answer.
13. Kyle Shurmur, Vanderbilt - every time I've seen him play I'm reminded of ESPN high school football broadcasts. Never impressed.
14. Terry Wilson, Kentucky - he's at UK for a reason.

Alabama won't have a qb rotation. Hurts will probably get plenty of playing time in the 2nd half of games that are in hand, like Tua last year, but this won't be a 2 qb system. Tagovailoa is way the hell better than Hurts in nearly every aspect of the game.

While I'm cool with the # that Bentley is ranked as its pretty fair, having Franks ranked above him is a joke.

Was horrible against any team with a pulse. 1 TD 4 INTS
46% combined vs Bama,AU and UGA.
Heisman trophy?Do you even watch CFB?

Not ONE person who evaluates CFB players for a living would have em in the top 10

Huh?He was 2nd in QB rating in '17 aND will have a better O-line and deeper receiving corps in '18...at the very minimum he's 3 or 4
This post has to be some type of retarded troll.

I think OP likes Mullens qb whispering dick.

yeah one of the nations most efficient QBs will be 8th in the SEC this year. And have you not see what our backfield is now? We don’t rebuild at running back we reload. Last years team had the factor of a bunch of mid to late round draft picks returning for their senior season to accomplish a mission and they came up one play short but still gave us our best season since 1980. If the backfield not being is good is your knock o Fromm for some reason I worry about your analysis. Also, what UGAs guys did should be a lesson to all juniors who aren’t locked into the top 2 rounds. Pretty much every single one of them upped their draft position

Correct. Basically the only reason he gave for his #1 and #4 QBs being ranked where they are is Mullen.

Jordan Ta'amu had the 2nd highest QB rating in the conference this past season, with only Lock having a higher rating. And this is against SEC defenses, since Ta'amu didn't event start until the LSU game. Fitz had one of the worst ratings in the entire conference.

Did you watch any film last year? Guy is great under 10 yards to his first read. The second he needs to go deep he air mails it. He won’t finish in the top 3 in the West this year.

I understand the hype on Tua and if someone wants to put him number one, I'd understand that too. He made some ridiculous throws in that championship game. As I've said though, he also made some bone headed plays that could have cost Bama the game. Jake didn't have a very good second half and missed some things as well.
Lock is as good as it gets when he's on his game and pretty bad when he's not. And he has too many times when he's not. He's definitely in the top four though. You could make an argument for Stidham, Tua, Fromm and Lock in any order in the top four spots. And Hurts has only lost two games as a starter. And while he struggles at times as a passer, he is nowhere near the bottom as a passer and not many can do what he does with his legs.
