this is all subjective, of course. However, Stadium Talk has decided to enter the fray and list their own.

Taking the best QB from each SEC school and then ranking them from best, #1 to #14. Commentaries are interesting on each player. Agree or disagree?

1. FLORIDA, Tim Tebow

Years: 2006-09

College highlights: Two-time BCS national champion (2006, 2008), Heisman Trophy (2007), two-time SEC Player of the Year (2008, 2009), Davey O'Brien Award (2007), AP Player of the Year (2007), three-time AP All-American (2007, 2008)

2. GEORGIA, Fran Tarkenton

Years: 1958-60

College highlights: Two-time All-SEC (1959, 1960), Orange Bowl champion (1960)

3. KENTUCKY, Tim Couch

Years: 1996-98

College highlights: AP All-American (1998), two-time All-SEC (1997, 1998), SEC Player of the Year (1998)

4. MISSOURI, Chase Daniel

Years: 2005-08

College highlights: AP All-American (2007), two-time All-Big 12 (2006, 2007), Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year (2007)

5. SOUTH CAROLINA, Steve Taneyhill

Years: 1992-95

College highlights: Two-time All-SEC (1994, 1995)

6. TENNESSEE, Peyton Manning

Years: 1994-97

College highlights: AP All-American (1997), Maxwell Award (1997), Davey O'Brien Award (1997), Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (1997), Campbell Trophy (1997), SEC Player of the Year (1997), two-time All-SEC (1996, 1997)

7. VANDERBILT, Jay Cutler

Years: 2002-05

College highlights: SEC Offensive Player of the Year (2005), All-SEC (2005), The Sporting News Freshman All-American (2002)

8. ALABAMA, Bryce Young

Years: 2020-present

College highlights: CFP national champion (2020), Heisman Trophy (2021), Maxwell Award (2021), Davey O'Brien Award (2021), Manning Award (2021), AP College Football Player of the Year (2021), Sporting News College Football Player of the Year (2021), AP All-American (2021), SEC Offensive Player of the Year (2021), All-SEC (2021)

9. ARKANSAS, Ryan Mallet

Years: 2008-10

College highlights: Two-time All-SEC (2009, 2010), Liberty Bowl Offensive MVP (2010),

10. AUBURN, Cam Newton

Year: 2010

11. LSU, Joe Burrow

14. Stadium Talk failed to list the 14th QB in their list, a definite oversight.

In my opinion, Mississippi State's best QB of all time would be Dak Prescott. Since they failed to list him (why, I don't know), would he rank higher than 14th best SEC QB of all time? If so, where would you put him? LINK

This is terribly done. No consistency in whether 1-2 great seasons override a longer career or not.

No one will ever win 11 games 3 years in a row at SC. Connor Shaw is so underrated it hurts

Solid list. Well done

I would change the following though
Georgia-David Green
Alabama-Mac Jones (but its hard to argue against Bryce, for no other reason than 1st and 98)

USC east could have an argument made for Todd Ellis. He passed for over 3000 yds in his freshman and soph years which was over the top in 86 and 87 but Tanneyhill is probably the correct answer.

Yes, Couch went high in the NFL Draft but Babe was the 4th pick and went on to almost 20 years in Pro Football

I might argue

UK
#1 = Babe
#2 = Tim

List is complete shite. Someone Turing Tebow at 1 is fine. I don’t agree but there is absolutely an argument.

Not having the top 3 be some ordering of Burrow, Newton, and Tebow is laughable.

Is this list really trying to say Chase Daniel was better than Peyton Manning, Cam Newton and Johnny Manziel?
