It's definitely a unique season and hard to compare. I really don't give a crap though about the excuses about what other teams have gone through. Everybody is in this shite together for better or worse. This Alabama team has been dominant from the word go and a joy to watch. They need to finish though.

They have absolutely been dominant and had a great season. Thats different from saying it’s the best of all time though

Your stats include both CFP games for LSU. Alabama obviously hasn't played them yet, so this is not an apples-to-apples comparison. I'd guess potential wins over ND and Clemson would bump Alabama's stats up a good bit.

Trying to say who the best team or season of all time is a fool's errand any way. Every season is different. Every era is different.

Sure, would you not say it’s also accurate to predict that both Alabama’s offensive and defensive production will go down against playoff competition?

Defensively perhaps, although that is not the question under discussion. Offensively? I'll believe someone can effectively slow this offense down when I see it.

And potential losses would make all this moot anyway. All this is premature.

I don't care if Alabama wins the next two games by a point, just win and I'll "settle" for Bama being in 6 of first 7 playoffs and winning 3 of them.

What kid was robbed of leukemia treatments so LSU could win a national championship?

Fair enough. Y’all haven’t played any good defenses yet but maybe it won’t make a difference. Time will tell

You do know it was a laundering scam right? Half of the money that wasn’t going there in the first place went to the hospital so their funding increased you idiot. But don’t strain your little mind with reality, being butt hurt over LSU having the greatest team of alltime suits you much better.

If Alabama wins and goes 13-0 vs 13P5

13P5... you mean 11 SEC and 2P5? Some of those SEC teams were bad... like worse than LSU this year bad.

It’s also funny to see a Bama fan take shots about extracurricular scams within a program. Nobody’s as openly corrupt as Alabama football.

I wonder how the rankings would look if all the BCS champs were included too.

Hey Willy, still curious what the "1" here is meant to signify. Please, educate me.

Against a down conference from top to bottom. Thats the point.

The perception is the SEC is down due to records. There were 2 extra losses due to all SEC schedule.

You could add 4 wins for the OOC games and subtract 2 losses from each team.

With a normal season schedule SEC teams would be ranked much higher.

For example

LSU'S record would have been 9-3 and ranked top 25 vs being called a dumpster fire at 5 & 5

Au would finish 9 & 3 or 10-2 ranked top 15 vs 6 & 4

TAMU finished 11-1 top 5 again. Vs 8-1

UGA 10-2 instead of 7-2 , same top 10 finish. They would not exclude any losses both were on schedule, UF and Bama

Ole Miss 8-4 instead of 4-6

Ark 7-5 instead of 3-7

MSST 7-5 instead of 3-7

UT 7-5 instead of 3-7

Then you had historically bad LSU who fired basically their entire staff, Auburn who fired their coach, and Tennessee who seems to be on the cusp.

In a normal season schedule that historically bad lsu team goes 9-3 due to 4 OOC wins and 2 less sec losses. Probably ranked top 15

Auburn goes 10-2 or 9-3 at worst, again top 15

UT is 7-5 vs 3-6

The SEC would look a lot better with the OOC rent a wins.

2020 will never be a "apples to apples" comparison regardless of what stat you're looking at.

I knew this ranking was gonna chap some asses.

fricking Gumps are so greedy, they can't stand to see any other team or player actually be called "the best".

It's just ugly.
