rankings represent royalties reported January 1, 2012 through March 31, 2012 on all collegiate merchandise sold.

Odd that nationally-known schools like Ohio State, Southern California and Florida State are not listed in the top 75, but UL-Lafayette, Montana, Central Florida and Delaware all are. I think there's a problem with this data.

Actually, go back in dig through the past 5 years of rankings. You'll be surprised what you find my friend.

It will be interesting to see how the TV numbers stack up now that the entire SE, TX and even more will now pay more attention to aTm.

I bet they have a significant increase in their numbers. How much, who knows? Will it best Arky? Perhaps.

They, along with us, don't us CLC.

Also note we are above the apathetic Missourians, despite the fact that their state has twice the population of Arkansas and is also a one horse state

the CLC doesn't rep those schools. Therefore, no ranking.

Exactly. It could also be that some of the schools who are listed use more than one licensing company, so that these rankings don't reflect all their sales, but just their sales through CLC.

You sell more in your state. I don't think anyone really considers Arky a "national" brand though. I'm not trying to dig at Arky I just don't see them as a national brand. Dominate Arky, hell yeah.

Very few schools would be considered a national brand. I could argue that none are national brands.

Year 1 and 2 the entire state of Texas SHOULD be watching Texas A&M get rapped.

You realize the Aggies are HOPING to get better numbers with a university bigger than Arkansas, Ole Miss and MSU combined not to mention those two states times four (4) in population.

A&M has twice the student population, and is located in a state with almost 9 times the population, yet Arkansas sells more merchandise. I think that has at least SOMETHING to do with Arkansas being more popular nationally than A&M.

Nope. Literally nothing. In fact, when you look at another football crazed state in Florida with multiple teams from literally everything, Texas A&M does better than Florida State and Miami. So relative to other schools like us, we are doing great. In terms of states with only one major brand, with small populations, with no professional sports teams, Arkansas ranks very very very poorly. Nebraska and OU blow you out of the water, and they aren't in the SEC "piggie-backing" off Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

No doubt, that list has to be horse puckey. OSU and USC > UL-Lafayette

I doubt they care much about TV rankings and only care about the new check from the SEC. I've never seen them start threads about TV ratings.

Now, prepare to hear about it if they do surpass Arky because you've set that up nicely.

Rapped? By Ice Cube or LL Cool J?

Arkansas is a national brand, period. The vast majority of sports fans know exactly what state is associated with the Razorbacks. Though, half of them think we border Alabama and Little Rock is where the university is located.

Arkansas without a doubt is a national brand from truck drivers to the casual football fan. This is common speak and knowledge.

So, nobody in the entire state of Arkansas owns a suit or a nice button shirt and a par of slacks? It's all Arkie gear for the hillbillies?
