How is UK doing after losing there star player? Besides getting blown out with a team of McDonalds all Americans. If you gave Frank that team we would be an elite eight team at the worst.

Listen basketball is by far my favorite sport and I spend to many hours watching it. Martin took K-State to the elite eight with sub par talent. Another one of my fav coaches Mike Anderson took UAB to the sweet sixteen and Mizzou to the elite 8 with sub par talent. Give both of these guys elite recruits and they would run circles around Cal's teams. Actually Anderson did in the sweet sixteen a few years ago if I remember correctly. Cal is the 4th best in game coach in the SEC.

no

UK is too young right now. No coach would go to the elite 8 with that team.

I love how you under estimate Frank's coaching abilities. We suck this year because we have ONE caliber D1 player on our roster.

Yet Pitino had the same type of situation after our probation and damn near beat Duke to go to the Final 4.

Cal is doing fine with this team...would not shock me they make a sweet 16 type of run.

Um, check me if I'm wrong, but 06 and 07 was the same team. I would think they should be tied as they are at least as good as themselves but probably not better??

And if I am not mistaken it is the only team with the same starting 5 to repeat? Maybe a UK fan would know if this is correct.

Pretty much.

I think one year they were a 3 seed...the other a 1 seed.

Kind of surprising that UCLA never had the same starting 5.
