1. Washington- easier league. beautiful campus. Good football tradition for the region

2. Florida State- Top program with an opening, but have to compete for region's recruits with Florida, Miami, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn

3. Missouri- Easier to win in the East

4. Ole Miss- only ahead of Arkansas because there is more in state talent

5. Arkansas
6. South Florida
7. Boston College
8. New Mexico

BC job has to look a bit more appealing because it's much easier to turn around an ACC team than one in the SEC.

1. FSU
2. U-Dub
3. BC
4. USF
5. Ole Miss
6. Mizzou
7. Arky
8. UNM

Put Washington at the top of the list!

Good.

Now take it off the list.

Supposedly they've already offered Petersen's replacement, a guy from the current staff, an understanding of a deal. 3 million a year for 5 years is what I have read.

Which tells me this did not come out of left field and was probably in motion over the course of the season.

The big question is who gets in the Petersen sweepstakes next year or the year after when he's had his time off and wants to get back into coaching? Does he leave the Pacific Northwest?

If you want to coach in the big leagues inside big cathedrals, then the sec openings are best
