And has been for a while. No thunder or lightning but enough rain to make me wish they were playing in Knoxville. No wind, just heavy rain with low visibility, aka fun football/rugby weather.

I miss mountains and hills. It’s so flat in Louisiana. All you can see is trees and strip malls :(

I’m in Mandeville. We have those functioning, rich alcoholics here.

Hike up LeConte and tell me that ain’t a mountain. East Tennessee scenery is legit, I’ll give you Vols that.

The Tennessee North Carolina border area is one of my favorite regions in the entire country. If I had to pick another place to live outside NWA, and could choose any place, the Callajusca River Gorge area would definitely make my short list.

Yes? I mean it’s in the name and everything (Smokey Mountain National Forrest). I’ve a great view of a curtain mountain out my bedroom windows

One of the most, if not the most beautiful area in the entire eastern 3rd of the country. The only place that tops it are the Snowies in SE Wyoming. Heaven on Earth.

A couple years ago we did a "waterfall tour" of the area and I had never seen anything like it. We saw the Lynn Cove Falls, Dry Falls, Bust Your Butt Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Glassmine Falls, Mingo Falls, and those are just the ones off the top of my head that I remember. All within a very small area and most of which are viewed right by the road side. All extremely impressive. Dry Falls in particular is just incredible.

I'm gonna guess there aren't too many places in the entire country where you can see something like that. The "Mountain Waterways Scenic Byway" is a drive every nature lover should make at least once.
