Uhm, yes. Ethnic discrimination is racism.

quote:

Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance, and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another.[1][2][3][4] It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity

Those evil student sections all across the country discriminate by not heckling their own teams. It’s unfair.

No one is talking about definition. We are talking about right or wrong. How many white people have you heard call another white person a redneck? What about black person calling another black person a coon? You can stereotype or be racist toward your own people. Read a book and flip the page.

I disagree.

My point. They slipped ethnicity in there when it never was to be because people are lazy at differentiating the two.

I bet you live in a state that has very little diversity. I understand your self hate, because I can see why you do, but you don’t have to man.

Where was the derogatory term or label in the student's remark?

It’s irrelevant to the point. Racism and ethnic discrimination are equally as bad. You can disagree all you want but the point was the xenophobic comment was charged by ethnic discrimination. It’s not hard.

Xenophobia is wrong, so is racism. That doesn't make them interchangeable terms. This Auburn scenario is a case of clear cut xenophobia. Calling it racism is incorrect and shows you don't know what you're talking about.

Hell, even the headline reporting it called it the correct term and never once mentioned racism. At least there are journalists out there that actually use the brain they have.

Wolken is a closet racist. I know a lot of people that are like him. They'll straight up be racist but then get bent out of shape on some random thing that they don't care about.

This is the last time I post this...anytime you tell a person to go back to their country and state that this is America right after. Its racist because you are implying they don't belong here and that you are superior.

You are right, it's not hard. Labels are overused and Racism as a term is overused to the point that it is saturated into everything. My argument remains that the two terms in question are different.

Oh drewie....saying go to back to Uraguay and that this is america was racist. Because you are implying you are superior and that they don't belong here. The student was out of line and racist. If you can't see anything wrong with that. I suggest you get Help...
