Not to get in the middle of this - but just an observation….not all turnovers are equal. Duress vs non-duress.
For example, throwing an interception when not under pressure, or on an early down - when your team is driving - is an unforced error. A bad decision to risk a turnover when it’s not necessary to take a risk.
Getting strip sacked and fumbling is not an unforced error because the OL got whooped.
Or a desperation throw on 3rd and 12 is a risk but sometimes a calculated risk because you weren’t going to keep possession otherwise.

Anything can mean anything if you constantly move goal posts and cant even stick with what you say lmao. From “0 turnovers” to “1 turnover that doesn’t count” apparently. From “figured out Georgia’s defense” to “figuring it out” lmao. Simply delusional.
I haven’t moved any goalpost. I said I made a mistake, and didn’t try to hide it with the turnovers. If you want to count a 4&6 strip sack as a fumble sure. Do it. It still doesn’t change the fact that Texas figured out how to attack the Georgia defense in the second half.
I find it more funny that you thought “Texas figured it out in the second half” and “would be considered Texas figuring it out” are somehow not the same thing.
Take a lap bud, you’re starting to get a little flustered and not making much sense.

Yeah you sure did figure out Georgia. 2 total first downs. 3 turnover on downs. A fumble. Zero run game. And shut out in the 4th quarter.
Really figured them out lol

Shell shocked with any kind of pass rush needs to settle down and trust his progressions. I’d start moving the pocket quite a bit.

You do understand that just because Texas only converted 2 third downs, that doesn’t mean they only got 2 first downs…. Right?

You do realize you’re arguing you “figured out” the Georgia defense in the second half when you were shut out in the 4th quarter?
Figured out what? How to not score?
Posted on 10/23/24 at 10:25 pm to FireDanMullen
Since you didn’t respond to it, I’m just gonna assume you don’t know the difference between a third down conversion and a first down.
That means I’ve been wasting my time arguing with someone who doesn’t understand the basics of the game.

Way to deflect lmao. I would too if I couldn’t back up anything I said. Again, how did you “figure out” the Georgia defense in the 2nd half when you were shutout in the 4th quarter?
A simple question, “figure out” what? How not to score ? Lol

Overrated and inconsistent.

So do you know the difference or did you misspeak?

Texas could have kicked 2 field goals in the 4th. Being down 15 those do nothing to help cut the deficit, so the only option was to go for it. Unfortunately lack of execution (under thrown ball) caused no touchdowns to be scored. Execution and schematically figuring out how to attack a defense are two separate things.

Down 15 Lmfao you mean the Refree
gifting you 7 points and the same time tying UGA’s hands eveey chance they could .

The main thing with Quinn was missing reads and not stepping up into the pocket. We had guys open, he just wasn't seeing them.
I don't watch the other games that closely most of the time, so I'll take your word for it. But it looked to me like the Texas OLine was having issues and the Georgia D was doing a good job in coverage.
Pretty difficult for a QB to do well in those conditions.
I guess we'll see how they look down the stretch, but if you play Georgia again I'm picking Georgia no matter who you start at QB.

I swear no humility at all from the UTrans crowd. Oh, we figured it out, No, you had refs interfere in the game on your behalf. You got completely demolished and it wasn’t remotely close …

One of us is speaking in facts, the other just straight conjecture and coping for being whooped at home. “Figured out” a defense results in 0 points in the 4th quarter. Sound logic lmao

“Could’ve should’ve” Lmao literally all I’ve heard this entire argument. 0 facts. 0 points in the 4th quarter.

This coming from the guy that tried to claim “2 first downs” was all Texas had all game?

Could’ve, not should’ve. I don’t disagree with the decision to go for it as 1 FG doesn’t make it a 1 score game like a TD would.

I think Georgia just sacked him again.

Sounds like you still lost. But yeah, I’ll tell my kids thirty years from now about the heroic schematic adjustments made against georgia.
