Question. Why does Texas get so upset at the horns down

I don’t understand why it upsets them so much. The Gators get that Gator chomp thing taunted back at then all the time and I don’t see them getting all bent out of shape. What’s with these Texans and their delicate little feelings?

Seriously. What is it? I don’t keep up with Texas but heard they have ejected people from games and chastised opposing teams for doing this. What gives? Are they so sensitive they can’t take it?

I don’t think they care as much as you think.
Talk shite about Kirby or Georgia not being the best team in the history of college football and you’ll get 4-5 Georgia fan replies in a row arguing.

I haven't watched them much in past 5 years, but this definitely wasn't always the case.

We don't. Another question: Why do SEC Rant posters start threads covering the same topics over and over and over and over again?

They get all upset if anyone dares gives the horns down. Even Saban wanted to spare their tender little feelings when some of his team started it. Didn’t he yell at them to stop? If Texas can’t take things like this they are gonna have a very hard time in the SEC.

Sorta reminds you of LSU fans, doesn't it? Except you'd triple that number with Tigers fans.

So if the horns down is a personal foul, is the horns up also one? Seems pretty one sided if it isn’t.

I’ve been to the Ga/Fla game for decades. I’ve seen angry Gators, crying Gators, mooning Gators and plenty of drunk Gators. I don’t ever remember seeing even one Gator bent all out of shape because someone was giving then that “spastic Gator” Chomp. They take it and don’t whine about it. Texas fans seems a bunch of pampered little sissies

It’s a personal foul? Really? Hadn’t heard that

Sporting News actually did an article on this subject a few days ago. "Gesture makes fun of Texas' 'Hook 'em Horns' sign", is the headline.
Awwwwwwwww, poor Cows get their feelings hurt when we do it.
SPORTING NEWS
Another article explains.......
It's basically a signal of defeat. Imagine a bull with its horns pointed down instead of up. It's the same imagery as a fighter taking a knee or showing a sign of "meekness" or "giving up," and when a team playing opposite the Texas Longhorns brandishes the "horns down" symbol, it's perceived as a slight against the team.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, more feelings hurt. What a shame, Cows.
