I think we will have a better team than we had last year, and we will be more competitive against the better competition. Unfortunately, that won't be reflected in our record due to the tougher schedule.

I agree with this 100%

It begins with the OL and DL- and here is where we will be better

Just to be clear. Are you saying Hugh Freeze is going to win the BCS Championship?

Nah, bruh. He said "outspoken, confident and cocky" not "retarded, paranoid and raged-up".

I believe that you've only had one coach in your history that was better in his first 4 -- and he had a nicely stacked deck when he arrived. That was Cutcliffe. I went back past Vaught and Cut was the only coach you'd had that was better in his first 4 than Mullen has been in his first 4 at MSU...

OM fans:

"We believe in Hugh Freeze, coach and recruiter almighty, maker of future SEC championships. Who was conceived by the power of the football gods, born of the virgin Briarcrest, suffered under pontius Orgerone, was crucified, died and was buried. He decended into hell at Lambuth University, and on the third year he rose again from the dead to bring our football program back to it former glory."

"We believe in the Holy Freeze, the Holy football gods, the communion of elite prospects, the forgiveness of paying those recruits, the resurrection of our football greatness, and glory everlasting.

Amen."

Personally, I say screw Kevin Sumlin and we really, really need to hire a coach who understands the importance of a 12-yr old Independence Bowl victory in the snow and decks his team out in white/silver unis with "Hail State" in place of their name and blows artificial snow on the field on Nov. 3 in Starkville to commemorate that 12-yr old win. That's the coach I want.

But seriously, kinda, Mullen's moves most likely precipitated the black A&M unis and the Texas-outline helmets, which is the best look I've ever seen on my team. So it's all good. (Until I go to work tomorrow and have to listen to more crap from MSU alums about how good State is going to be.)

That's the spirit! Well done! Nevermind that 2012's game was over at halftime and your stadium emptied. The 2000 Snow Bowl in scenic Shreveport is the important thing.

Yes, in overtime. Apparently it was a big deal at MSU until Nov 2012, when they couldn't be bothered to stay at the game.

Cohen is the Lane Kiffen of SEC baseball ... Fact

Only difference is Cohen does actually field pretty good teams while Lane sucks a bag of dicks on the field.

When Mullen was hired, I hated MSUx2. I like the posters for MSU on SECr most of the time though.

I like all of the SECr MSU posters, even those I give crap to and take it from. It's the real life MSU guys chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC" as if MSU had anything to do with the SEC's success that I have a problem with, and I see them every day.

Both coaches in my opinoin have been/are doing good jobs at Mississippi state as head coaches. They may come off as brash, outspoken, and cocky from time to time, and that is where my question comes from.
Would you rather have a coach who is outspoken, confient, and cocky or a coach who never says anything controversial or never tries to get much media attention that is known as a nice guy.
Give Me Dan and Cohen any day of the week.

I think Dan Mullen is all talk, has snowed over the MSU fan base and is the perfect fit for MSU. I hope he stays there forever.

Cohen? Meh.
