This isn't the Colonel Reb Foundation.

This is Colonel Reb PAC (Political Action Committee). Went to their website ( LINK) and saw where they wrote this at the bottom.

First off, I don't think they'll ever get 100,000 signatures. That's like 1 out of every 30 residents in the state. Also, every signature has to be verified in these sort of things so they have to verify that every signature is a resident of Mississippi.

In other words, this won't happen.

Ole Miss should have the Rebel mascot. I would vote yes. Hell, my HS had a Confederate for its mascot...

Don't think these nut jobs won't give it their best effort and stir up some media attention while doing so.

You can't speak for your entire fan base.

But 2 record breaking years of donations to the athletic program make it sure seem like majority of the fanbase is still pissed about it.

They left off the Egg Bowl. Bring that sucker to Starkville on game day - we'll clear out a spot in the Junction for you, and we can get you half of the 100,000 votes in just one day.

It's a shame that Ole Miss let a few blacks dictate the exit of Col Rebel, the song Dixie, the rebel flag, etc.........and what has it got Ole Miss?....a black bear,,,what a joke......

I would vote for the return of Col Reb and push this issue throughout the state........

This is absolutely pathetic, but I could see it passing by a large margin. You'd have the toothless, confederate flag waiving, Wal-Mart gear wearing Reb fans and the Dillard's crowd coming out to the polls in full force. They will probably need to bring in extra voting machines.

Nothing. I'm just always amazed at how Ole Miss and Col Reb can bring folks from opposite ends of the spectrum together.
