LSU thinks the purple jerseys at home are a jinx. We only wear them vs teams we should beat with our eyes closed- like NSU, LaTech etc

Kind of Off Topic, but the last time the school went out and tried to motion for fans to wear a color other than garnet (So white or Black), in our Case Black Out, was in 2001. (we've had students start stupid shite on facebook like, black out this or white out this, that never really got around)

I think white outs or any organized effort to get all of the fans to wear the same color is stupid.

LSU's wears purple, gold & white uniforms. People should wear one of those. I think the combination of all three colors is symbolic of Louisiana being a melting pot of diverse cultures.

Plus LSU usually wants to do gold outs to sell shirts because they know hardly anyone owns as many gold shirts as they do purple or white.

In September I want to wear white because it's usually hot. But if they have a white out I'm going to be the guy in purple.

I'm the same. I remember the white out for UF in 03. We even had shirts made that said "White out FL." Not only did it not work out with the fans, but we lost the game. Not due to the shirts mind you, but breaking or forcing tradition doesn't seem to go over well. At least at LSU it doesn't.

ya ahaha I do the Opposite too, I remember when we played Ole Miss in 09 (they were #4) students tried to pass for a "black out"
I wore my garnet UA Polo.

I think even the team found out and went against it too because that was the first game we wore all Garnet.

Thats not a whiteout then. Fans and the team should both wear white. I remember we did a "blueout" a few years back, and the team came out in red. Everyone was like "WTF"?

So it's just a Jersey... er.. Mississippi thing?

would be much better if the team was wearing white, but sadly they're in maroon

I don't like out all white or all Maroons. I would prefer Maroon jersey and white pants at home and White jersey and Maroon pants on the road. But I am old so that is probably why I don't like the solids.

ETA: I just hope we have burned those black jerseys, we are 0-2 in them

my favorite was when GT had a whiteout last year vs NC ST and they usually were white at home but for the whiteout they came out in gold jerseys for the first time under CPJ

I heard, from a source close to the program, we are changing our colors to Navy Blue and Neon Green to combat any potential confusion with Texas AM.

In '03 y'all did a "red out" against LSU, and the team came out in blue jerseys.
Another WTF moment in Rebel history.
