From what you saw,do you think ,if we had stingley we would have been driving for a tie or a win ,instead of us being down two scores and driving to kick an onside kick after a td or fg?

Would it make you feel better if we said yeah?

NO. Thats like me saying if Shaun Wade doesnt get ejected from the game that TL doesnt run for a long TD ...Sorry ,works both ways ..LSU ,my second favorite team, gave up 44 to Moo St . End of story

No, Payton or Shavers just would’ve had the 183 yards instead of Mitchell.

It doesn’t matter, we didn’t have stingley. If we had jamarr chase and joe burrow we would have won too, but we didn’t have them either.

Not really ,but we get him back most likely this saturday or next saturday at the most. It was just a question
They scored on long 3rd downs and scored on drives where they converted multiple long third and sometimes even fourth downs . Its not that hard to argue he doesnt breaks up at least one of the passes that were 3rd down conversion on a drive that they ended up scoring on.
I ask because it's a message board and that's what we do. Should I make a thread about a 19 or 20 year olds family and post pictures of them?
Btw that was disgusting by that dude

Nah we got smashed and it was really worse than the score indicates.

I'm saying we could have been driving to make it a tie at least if he was playing . You know he has to stop one of those third downs where they ended up scoring.
It's crazy to say he wouldnt have had A pbu on 3rd down on a td drive. The thing is ,we still would have lost though cuz there was no way he was getting 6 on that last drive.
He better get quicker with his decisions orits gonna be the worst season since the 90s

State spreaded the ball around, had 3 100 yard wrs. I don’t think one man changes that much by the way their wrs seemed to be running open most of the game.
It’s not like State had one stud WR that LSU couldn’t stop. Then it’s another story with him in the game

I think it's foolish to think that Stingley would have made a huge difference. He can't defend the whole field. If he was shutting down a WR, Costello would have gone elsewhere. The problem wasn't personnel for LSU as much as it was defensive strategy. If you play man against this offense and you don't get to the QB, it's gonna be a long day.

Btw I'm agreeing wewoukdnt have won.im just saying we would have made an extra stop or 2 . Now if brennan could do anything with it then that's another story..
I guess I'm trying to find optimism. Optimism from opposing fans holds more weight

It really was. The only thing that could be said about Stingley being the difference is that maybe the news psychologically deflated the defense and caused them to doubt themselves. Even if that was the case that just means we were soft. There's just no excuse for us getting our asses handed to us like that. State was by far the better team on Saturday.

LSU pressured Costello more than any other SEC quarterback was pressured, he just Burrow'd them

Yeah we saw that . He would have helped a ton though because it would have gotten no. 26 Darren Evan's, recent transfer from Nichols off the field . He was the worst db I've seen in my lifetime watching sec football. Maybe jay ward was hurt more then we thought cuz he sucked too

Stingley is an amazing DB and should walk away with the Thorpe Award at the end of this season.
He wouldn't have made a large enough difference to change result of the game.

In also curious if opposing fans thought allie Gaye jumped off the screen at them? Was he wearing no 11

Yep, we were talking about him at work yesterday. Dudes a stud

I don't think so, the issue wasn't who was or wasn't playing D, it was that they played press man all night against a Leach Offense and the LSU O had trouble getting any rhythm at all.
