We know Mizzou's coach can be a bad boy (DWI). I wouldn't be surprised if he had a mistress. I would want him fired if he gave her a job.
Yes, Pinkel isn't perfect by any stretch. I would be surprised if he had a mistress though, he seems to place a high value on family. I could be wrong, but I don't think he'd do that to Vicky - or that she would take it. I've heard stuff about other coaches over the years, but never Pinkel.
Much as I appreciate everything he's done for the program, if he gave his mistress (that I don't think he has) a job, yeah, i'd expect him to be let go and would support that decision.

Not fishing for anything. I posed a simple question and am curious what others think. There is no secret agenda or a certain answer I am wanting or not wanting. Just curious.
well in that case....no, i don't think Les Miles is a lieing, cheating, piece of shite douchebag like Bobby Petrino.
But Petrino can write a damn fine letter....i'll give him credit for that.

The real answer is no one really cares what the coaches are doing. Everyone is having a great time gigging Arky fans. You have to admit with the way you flagshippers act on here and talk about Petrino is rather boastful (which is fine with me, I find it amusing). However, did you think something like this involving Petrino would stay untouched or something? I am almost sure you are not that naive, right?
It is the way of the message boards man. So get over it and it will play itself out soon enough.

That being said, do all of you think that your respected sports coaches are well-behaved, faithful, drug-free, law-abiding citizens? Or do you think that they just do a better job of keeping their skeletons hidden in their closet?
Do I think Miles is perfect....no
Is he cheating on his wife and riding around on Harley's w/ 25 y/o chicks??
Ummm.....no
Petrino is a perfect example of karma......he doesn't seem like a pleasant guy and comes across as an arse.
Just an effed up situation

I've had the opportunity to see many of you sit behind a computer screen and preach virtues of righteousness and cast stones in Arkansas' general direction for days now. I never realized that we had so many Popes and Mother Teresa's on these boards. Tebow would be proud.

Yes I believe CNS is "well behaved, faithful, drug free, law abiding citizen". If he's not, our University President will fire that arse, as he has done in the past with Price.

Your scenario makes the mistake of assuming that all individuals possess the same degree of character and ethics. They don't. Think of it as a sliding scale from 1 to 10. One = Billy Graham. Ten = Caligula. Those coaches who fall in the 7-9 range will be found out. Doesn't matter how good they are at hiding it. Just a question of time. In fact, the longer you get away with hiding it, the more confident you become and the less careful you are. Ask Tiger Woods about this.

Yet another post that has absolutely nothing to do with the question I asked, generalized an entire fan base based on a handful of posters on an internet forum, and ends with some stupid blanket statement about message boards that doesn't really make sense, nor is wanted or necessary.
Thanks for your contribution!

Have you seen Les' wife?
Why would he need strange on the side when he comes home to that every night?

Not at all, actually. I made no assumption. I just posed a simple question. You can put Petrino's actions on whatever arbitrary scale you would like. That isn't the point here.
You do bring up an interesting point unintentionally, though. What is an acceptable amount of "naughtiness"? Is a DUI acceptable while sleeping with another woman not? What about something such as paying off a player or lying to the NCAA? I guess a lot of it also depends on how successful the coach is doing as well.

If he can stay faithful to that then I give him all the respect in the world.

I think you are confusing someone with having an affair with someone having an affair with a fellow co-worker (to whom she reports) and lying about it to the police and the university. I don't think the Popes and Mother Theresas on here would have had a problem with Arkansas' keeping Petrino if it were just the first case scenario. Drag the other elements of the case into it though and you are looking for a new football coach.
