Meh. Bobby's always been a douche. I enjoy watching douches have some doucheness douched back their way.
This.
Also, you can at least be intellectually honest enough to acknowledge that this isn't just a mistress incident, can't you?

All programs are dirty and all coaches do some shady and dumb stuff. Hell, Les told JJ to click the ball with 1 second. Les has said some really head scratching stuff and had some really poor time management moments. I'm sure he has a skeleton or two in his closet like all of us.
BUT, hands down, the two dumbest, beyond words can describe, most stupid actions by head coaches in our conference were Mike Price going to Arty's Angels, picking up a stripper, and bringing her back to his room at a Golf Charity event so she can run up his company credit card and Bobby Petrino hiring his mistress and then taking her on a motorcycle ride without a helmet.
Words cannot describe how stupid these two actions were by these two coaches in high profile positions!!!!!!!

Considering that Gene Chizik is notoriously devoid of personality, I feel pretty confident he's on much better behavior than your coach, and I would have said that before this stuff hit the fan.
What we don't need is for you to be butthurt about this. To say that you guys took a moral risk on this guy is the understatement of the century, considering your hiring of him in itself contributed to his history of fricking people over.
I refuse to feel bad for you now. You rolled the dice and got a couple good seasons out of it. This (possibly) ending badly was a shock to no one.
I'm not asking for your sympathy, nor am I mad. I posed a simple question and am hoping that through the plethora of "Oh you mad!" memes and jabs about anything and everything Arkansas, that some people that can actually be mature for a couple of minutes and tell me if they truthfully believe that their coaches, or coaches in general, are for the most part the same people behind close doors as they attempt to portray in the media and and public in general.

The biggest issue this has, and this is nothing new, is the image that he has cast onto the University.
How well will he be able to recruit now? You know he will lose some recruits because of this.
Parents want to know that their kids are being taught by someone with morals and values.

That being said, do all of you think that your respected sports coaches are well-behaved, faithful, drug-free, law-abiding citizens?
Cant imagine Miles being a crack-head or a skirt chaser but I could see him steppin over NCAA rules. He has too much "model citizen" ideology around his personal life to get caught on something on the sleeze side. But you gotta remember - If Jimmy Swaggert can do it why not Les. Just would never expect it.

Hard to find people showing respect for coach Miles sometimes, especially on the SECRant. As a fan, I know what I believe Miles to be but I've never even been in the same room with him. I think he has the charater we need.
I'd be extremely disappointed if something like this came out about him, but everyone sins.

I've had the opportunity to see many of you sit behind a computer screen and preach virtues of righteousness and cast stones in Arkansas' general direction for days now. I never realized that we had so many Popes and Mother Teresa's on these boards. Tebow would be proud.

I think Boom is straight up what you see is what you get. He's crazy but not stupid enough to cheat on his wife IMO.

For Gene Chizik, I would say so pretty confidently.

If you're fishing for a "our coach is a douchebag just like yours." response (and we all know you are)...its not going to happen

Petrino is in trouble for giving a job to a mistress as opposed to just cheating on his wife?
Are you kidding? He's in trouble for carelessly creating a fiery shitstorm of negative publicity.

Do Arkansas fans really not understand that Petrino is in trouble for giving a job to a mistress as opposed to just cheating on his wife? I could care less about what happens in your personal life, unless you are committing crimes, but to bring into the University was his big mistake. Go hire a chick you were doing at your job and see how that turns out for you.
This point was never brought into question in this thread. Your statement has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, and before going into any and every thread that mentions "Arkansas" or "Petrino" in the topic, perhaps you should read what the conversation is even about before deciding the bless us with your wonderful, enlightening feelings on the matter.

Not to get off the subject but notice the time management issues went away with Crowton which is what most people suspected.

Question for you. Could Petrino's wife even locate the dudes office? Both Mullen and his wife are seen as integral parts of that job. They are rarely seen apart in public. At football events she is there. At games she is there. When he meets with recruits on campus she is there.

Not fishing for anything. I posed a simple question and am curious what others think. There is no secret agenda or a certain answer I am wanting or not wanting. Just curious.
