Probably for the same reason LSU defeated the Tide 5 of 6 times at Tuckalooser from '03 through '11 and the one loss was the Ritter/Replay review official debacle in '09. LSU also defeated 'Bama at home 4 straight trips in the '80's, leading some reporters to call it the road-team favorite rivalry or some such shite. All in all, LSU defeated Alabama 11 of 15 games at 'Bama from '82 through 2011. Doubt very seriously whether any other school has ever had a stretch on the road like that against 'Bama.

Thats just an incredible stat. Ask any LSU fan and they will say their program is on par with Alabama's. They are convinced of this fact. Well, Since the same year that we

went to the moon for the first time
Woodstock happened
watergate was still 3 years away

Alabama has lost 4 times and 2 of those being Bama teams on severe sanctions. FOUR. In that stadium and this is playing every other year in the stadium and back to back years in 91 and 92 due to the SEC screwing us in scheduling. I always laugh at the polls that inevitably come out every year stating its the toughest place to play. It is loud, it is raucous, etc but the game is played between the players and not the fans. More often than not we have better players. THAT is why we have gone since 69 with 4 losses. Lots of noise but you gotta have some substance. yea, it might affect the states, Vandy's, McNeeses's of the world but it isnt gonna affect Bama. Everywhere we go we play in front of the most raucous crowds ever. Thats why when they say we get Bama at home I say "you call that an advantage"?
Its a great atmosphere, maybe the best I've ever seen but it has no bearing on the game.

Went to Newman? Didn't get into any good schools?
Then you went to Bama because going to in state LSU was "beneath you?"

Did I get it right?

Haven't we always been a top 20 football program? What's this "never won before" junk?

When Bama fans wake up in the morning they stare at themselves in the mirror and repeat, "we are the best football team. We are the best football team. We are the best football team..."

If they didn't they would not have the strength to get through the day. And then when tears brought on by an otherwise meaningless existence roll around by 3 PM they close their eyes, but a blanket over their head and do it again. This is how they have to live.
