It's just tough.

If LSU plays the same kind of defense they've been playing the whole 2nd half, it's hard to imagine Alabama going down the field and scoring a touchdown.

Very slim odds. However, a field goal was never out of the question to me.

Then we went away from press coverage, and the rest is history.

LSU has the best defense in the country (to me, Alabama fans might disagree, but last night was a decent indicator), yet we don't trust them to make plays when the game is on the line.

When Bama got the ball, I felt they had a chance to take it to OT. Didn't expect the TD at all. When Lsu got their last first down with under 3 to play, I thought we wouldn't stop them from getting one more and running the clock.

AlaHunter...sound like me. After that first down I looked at the clock and kept saying after the next four snaps:

1st down - ok, one more 1st down and this is over
2nd down - ok, GD, we just to make one more 1st down
3rd down - GD, SOB, u MFers we just need one more first down
4th down - Les Miles, you grass eating booger digging MFer, we just needed another first down, you low life cock sucker fricking northerner Wolverine POS

then I realized that half of section 416 was looking up at me laughing

If you made a chart of your thoughts, and mine on the same plays, they'd have converged on 3rd down. Mine taking a steep incline, your's a steep decline.

When the last drive started i had already thought the game was lost. When we crossed the 50 yard line i was thinking field goal and OT. I was still thinking field goal to tie the game before Yeldon scored. Had the game gone to OT i'm not sure Our defense could'a stopped LSU after being on the field all damn night so i'm glad there was no OT.

You can't control how you feel, but you can control what you say. I don't mind that many of us lost hope, but when Bama fans started congratulating LSU with 10 minutes to go in the game, I was getting pissed.

Alabama fans in my section started to vacate with 5-6 minutes left.

I was sure we were gonna win, and looking forward to gloating. They had been doing so little against our D, and with no time outs and so little time, I thought one or two stuffs and it's over.

But when they completed the very first long pass completion I thought "uh oh". But even then, I again thought one or two stops and at best they'll have to try a long FG, so at worst it'll be tied.

Could not frickin believe it when they scored the TD. One of the largest swings of emotion I've experience in a game.

I'm still very proud of how the Tigers played.

When Chavis decided to choke and let the corners give 15 yards of cusion I wasn't too thrilled to find out the ending

I just don't get it. We are now 3 for 3 in giving up touchdowns in the last three weeks in the 4th quarter when we go into the prevent. We have the best fricking defense in the country, and we don't trust them to make stops when the game is on the line. frick that shite.

That's the problem, Miles dosen't trust the offense, and either Chaves or Miles dosen't trust the defense late in the game, which I don't get because the D shut Alabama down completely in the second half.

When the drive started, I thought it would end with an interception, since it would be the fitting end to a shitty performance.

The point I thought it might all work out was when AJ completed the third 10+ yard pass. I started thinking about the 2007 Arkansas game, and wondering why it couldn't happen again. I definitely wanted to get in the range of Shelley instead of Foster if we had to take a FG, even though I hated our chances in OT. Then Yeldon broke free. When he hit the second level I was on my feet...

I quit on my team with 3:23 on the lock, and LSU knocking on the door. I turned off the TV.

I stayed updated via Yahoo, and even after 3 completions to Norwood, I still felt defeated.

When we got the ball I was praying for a field goal, when I saw what yall were doing on defense I knew we were about to win. I must admit that I am amazed that LSU went into a prevent style defense when we had gone three and out 8 out of the last nine times I think it was.

Some strange coaching from Lesticles last night.

I never think a game is over until it's actually over. I was nervous as hell when Miles decided to run it up the middle on 3rd and 7 to set up a FG. I thought he should have gone for the 1st down on both 3rd and 4th downs instead of kicking the FG.

After the missed FG, I felt like Bama could move the ball, but I thought our D would hold them like they had all 2nd half.

The second that they got their first 1st down, I knew we were in trouble, because we abandoned the press man coverage and went to a soft zone. We were all in total bewilderment in my section of the stadium as to why Chavis changed what was clearly working.

Yes, some strange calls indeed, but he has absolutely nothing to do with the defensive calls. Chavis has total and complete control of the defense. The change to a soft zone from press man lays directly on the shoulders of Chavis.

Didn't think the game was over, but wasn't very optimistic at the start of the drive. After the first 2 completions I knew we'd at least get a FG attempt. Just before the TD pass, I commented that Yeldon should touch the ball at some point, then boom!

As soon as they crossed midfield so quickly, I had a feeling this game was destined for overtime. I was honestly extremely surprised that the game ended the way it did.

When we got the ball I was thinking TD or bust. I knew we couldn't survive overtime. Our defense was tired and Mettenberger was on. When we completed that first pass to Norwood I realized that we were going to do something with the football for once on this drive.

Question for both Alabama and LSU fans about last Bama drive
I felt like we were going to lose. I was thinking about what I would say: Good Game LSU. You played Alabama's game. Kept the ball for 40 minutes, sustained long drives, wore the defense down, had no turnovers. You deserved the win.

Actually that pretty much still stands. I think the prevent killed you. AJ and Norwood (and everyone else) had to execute but it had to be easier against the prevent coverage. Still, we got it done, and got the win. I'll take it, but LSU played the better game. I won't concede LSU was the better team--but you were better last night.

Roll Tide.

This is exactly how I felt and your 2nd paragraph represents how I feel now. LSU was better last night but Bama is still the better team.

I thought Shelley would miss a game tying 37 yard fg. Never dreamed Bama would score a TD.
