I know it's still early. But, am I the only one that thinks LSU and Bama don't look quite as good as last year, while at the same time the gap between them and the rest of the SEC is bigger this year?

I know. Obvious run on sentence is obvious, obviously.

I think it's silly to think either would be as good this early in the season as we were last year in mid-season form. Saying that, I still think LSU will be better this year than last. In 2 games Mett has about 5 games worth of passing yards for JJ

The two best teams in the country, and while they aren't as good right now, there's a lot of room to improve on both sides. Both are relatively young/less experienced in key spots.

You're right. I should have said in the original post something like, "I know its still early. But..."

I don't agree on the gap, I think different teams step up and take the place of Auby and Arky (hopefully us). I still believe Bama is untouchable, haven't watched enough of LSU to say. For us particularly both will be near impossible on the road.

LSU is definitely stronger this year. I'm going to wait to see how Yeldon pans out for Bama before making that call. I think the gap is bigger with the implosion of Arky, the lack of meaningful improvement from Auburn and Florida, and the continued shittiness of KY. On the other hand, Ole Miss has to be better and TN and State are obviously better. I'll wait to see how Mocha Cam, the Grinders, and Boom develop over the next couple of weeks before declaring LSU and Bama as totally invincible, but I'm not expecting much from those scrubs.

I like the sound of this, but I disagree.

I don't know about Alabama, but LSU is better than last year. We have a QB. Young DBs are ridiculously talented. LBs are MUCH better. Running game is sick and OLine was pushing Washington 4-5 yds off the ball all night.

I think LSU has more upside than last year.

Having a legit QB might just make LSU a lil better this year, maybe.

Bama looks better this year than they did last yer after two games IMO.
Didn't y'all have like 4 INT's in the opener, and Your QB play only improved, no?
