IF the committee hadn't "snubbed" ya'll last year, Aggy would've have gotten their panties popped in embarrassing fashion but I am quite certain ya'll would've printed cups, made fake trophies, and hung more artwork.

Last year they were in the hunt. They didn't win a division, Conference or Natty. They come within the same this year *edited from last year* they are trending , then they are in the conversation of not being overrated. Just like Ark around 2011. They lost to the 1 & 2 team in the nation that year. Good year but not great.

Depends on who they lost to and by how much. We are all vulnerable to being snubbed by the ND biased (another overrated program). But if Jimbo is in the conversation again, then A&M will be looked as a legit powerhouse. However, the only way that it will be viewed as a snub is if you win the West and lose to the East in the Championship game. Bama snuck in because they are Bama.

You could include the beginning of the Mack Brown tenure, since the years from 1998 to 2000 they went 27-11. Not great, but it includes a South Division title. Again, that’s better than the 2010-11 stretch you included. Are these three seasons exempted because Texas was 2-1 against aggy?
If you take Mack Brown’s entire 16 year tenure at Texas, he played aggy 14 times and won 10.
Only a fool would think a 5-7 season is part of your glory years but 11-1 and 11-2 seasons are not.
This is a bad look for a mathematical guru like yourself.
Don’t read too much into it. I took from their natty and went forward assuming that would be the best teams Texas had. Indeed they were ranked 2,3 and 4 when they played in three of those 7 games.

Okay. What the perception probability that they will be snubbed twice. What number would you suspect it is? I would say its unlikely if A&M has only one loss to Bama they won’t get invited. I would also say they would likely lose. Scientifically speaking.

My question was given that they had a similar season. I stated a given which meant to be assumed when calculating outcomes.
But to answer your question I give A&M chances about 60%. I don’t expect a freshman QB to not make mistakes. But the Aggie defense will be elite. Like impossible to score on them elite. Really. So I expect a lot of nail biting close win games. Much like last year but for a different reason. This year we have a very talented QB that’s inexperienced. Last burst we had a so-so QB that was very experienced. The defense held the day last year. And likely we will see a repeat of that dynamic again. We won’t light anyone up. But it will be very hard to move the ball on us.

I think the depths that A&M have built on the line will be s problem for anyone they play
I think A&M has taken Auburns place in the west and now they and LSU are the only real threats to dethrone Bama in the west.
I think A&M is real and they have staying power

I agree. This year is a huge year for both Jimbo and Ed. Can Jimbo take another step and can Ed get back on the step near the top. JMO but I believe the war between LSU, A&M, and Bama will be tuff and Ole Miss and AU are going to ruin some Saturday's for good teams.
