QB Alec Morris commits to Alabama

I don't particularly like this pickup

Why? Because he's a 3* and no one has really ever heard much or anything about the kid? He's pretty big kid and from what I've read he has a real damn strong arm and good accuracy. He could end up sucking & never playing a down at Bama. But I would bet the "main' reason you don't like this pickup is becuase his lack of *'s and the fact our rival fans will give us some crap over signing a unknown.

It seems like a pretty good pick-up to me. Star ratings mean nothing (Star Jackson), and this is the kind of QB that the offense is built around; get over it.

Sorry call it what you wil but sitting atop for the top two qb in the nation and whiffing sucked. We are now in settling mode. He may have been second on the board due to a camp performance but he isn't even a top ten qb. He may turn out great but I am sick of Bama going with game managers. Sims looks to be great and I am excited about him but allowing FSU to come in and take Winston because of slow play with baseball was a mistake. (IF THAT WAS the case) according to some guy on Tidefans he was given the opportunity to be the only qb taken last yr and he declined. Don't know if that is true or not. These same guys on Tidefans got pissed though because I questioned Lord Saban's approach. You can't question him over there.

This message board is the same way. You aren't allowed to question McElroy or McElwain without ten Bama fans lashing back at you.

horseshite. There's a difference between criticism and whatever the hell it is you do to McElroy. No one likes the hard-on you had (have) for dogging McElroy at every turn. Even when he led us to a national championship you claimed that we won in spite of him. You hate the guy for some reason and cannot let it go even now that he has graduated.

Move the frick on. McElroy did.

Question him? QUESTION him? You really are one dumb bitch. You don't question him, you've built your entire TD persona (such as it is) around bashing the everloving shite out of the guy at every possibly opportunity.

Why don't you go get on your tricycle and go frick yourself around the world a couple times?

fricking hardon.

I wonder if benchM is really DD from the old Tidesports board. Sure enough has the same level of hate of his own "chosen" school

I'm worried that one of them will transfer if they don't win the job. I hate to keep reiterating this but it was a big mistake redshirting McCarron. If McCarron was a junior, we could have mimicked what USC did in 2006 and 2007. They started John David Booty for two years until Mark Sanchez was ready to take over the reigns as a junior. Sanchez was obviously a more talented QB than Booty but he wasn't ready to take over the reigns as a freshman. Since Booty was a junior at the time, USC was able to sell Mark Sanchez on the fact that he would get his opportunity as a junior. I believe Sims would be patient enough to wait his turn until his junior year. Expecting him to sit three years is completely unrealistic. Either, Sims gets significant playing time for the next three years or he's gone. Same thing goes for McCarron.

It sounds like we just signed Matt Saracen from the Dillon Panthers. If so, I hope he brings Julie Taylor with him (and Coach and Tami too.)

Kid was offered by the Gumps, North Texas and Wake. It must have been a gut wrenching decision.
