Omg! Puppet wrote Harsin's name on the bottom of his list with a quickly scribbled phone number before he handed it to me and passed out... I had no idea who it was.. Uncanny..Unpossible!!

Nope, wasn't on the original list. Like I said today, Auburn was back to square one when the PTB that wanted Steele had egg on their face. I was hoping for Freeze , but this is pretty close.

this would be the second time Harsin replaced Gus Malzahn. The first was at Ark Stste.

No he is no Oats. He checks my boxes for what AU needs:
HC experience at a Major Program
Experience as an OC at a P5 Program
Most importantly a record for Coaching QBs. That is the biggest requirement to coach in the SEC today.
I never though AU would go after him and since he is from Boise, he would want to leave.

OC under Brown a UT. Ten years under Petersen when he was the hottest coach around. Remember when Petersen. The main thing is he is a QB Coach, something lacking at AU and most of the rest of the SEC.

He's a mid major coach coming from being the head guy at the premier job in his league where every head coach for 25 years has won. One was great, one was awful, one was somewhere in between. Nobody knows how he'll turn out.

No, but he has proven himself at two HC stops. Something Gus never did and really the only one who could match it on AUs list was Freeze. Never sold on Napier, but it was the best option compared to Steele.
