Congrats on your best season in 31 years but you have peaked, it's all down hill from here. Your goombah basketball coach and mole-man football coach will never bring you true happiness or lasting success. You are the conference's original Yankees and even wear blue like they did. Nobody likes you and Louisville got the better brand deal with KFC. Screw you.

When I think about all the basketball talent that has gone through Lexington over the past decade, I have to scratch my head trying to understand why they only have one title. Calipari is the greatest underachiever in basketball history.

And yet, has done better job of winning national championships in Men’s BB then the Big 12 as a whole in the last several years.

As an Italian-American, it really bothers me that this was the best term you could think of to describe him. Daygo, or WOP would've worked better.

What's a WOP? Willing Oppressive Popsicle?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary states wop's first known use was in the United States in 1908, and that it originates from the Southern Italian dialectal term guappo, roughly meaning "dandy", "dude", or "stud", derived from the Spanish term guapo, meaning "good-looking", "dandy", from Latin vappa for "sour wine", also "worthless fellow".[2][3][4] It also has roots in the Latin vappa, meaning wine gone flat.[3]
In Neapolitan and other Southern Italian dialects, guappo is pronounced as wah-po.[5][6] As Southern Italian dialects often feature unaspirated stops or "swallow" the final vowels in a word, guappo would often sound closer to wahpp to American or Anglo ears. Guappo historically refers to a type of flashy, boisterous, swaggering, dandy-like men in the Naples area. The word eventually became associated with members of the Camorra and has often been used in the Naples area as a friendly or humorous term of address among men.[7] The word likely transformed into the slur "wop" following the arrival of Italian immigrants into the United States, Italian immigrant males would often refer to one another as "guappo" in a jocular or playful manner; as these Italian immigrants often worked as manual laborers in the United States, their native-born American employers and fellow laborers took notice of the Italians' playful term of address and eventually began deploying it as a derogatory term for all Italians.[6] The term "guappo" was especially used by older Italian immigrant males to refer to the younger Italian male immigrants arriving in America.[8][5]

So, just a worthless way to express disdain? Pretty much half of what comes out of people's mouth's, anyway.

Wop is the sound Italian tires make when dago flat.
FWIW, Wop and Dago are derivative names to call Italians. As a half Mick, half Wop, I heard them a lot when I was young.

I know this is wrong as it states...
But i like this one. As it’s much more true
With Out Passport/Papers or Working On Pavement are popular inaccurate etymologies for the slur, supposedly derived from Italians that arrived to North America as immigrants without papers and worked in construction and blue collar work
“Ey Vinny after we finish laying this concrete lets head to my ma’s house (it’s also his house and it’s in Staten Island) for some sawce and mootzadel”
