As an Alabama alumnus and football fan, even my interest is waning in the sport due to NIL and the portal. I can only imagine the negative effects for casual fans. I don’t like the NFL and certainly not this NFL Lite version.

Duh, it's basically the same as prostitution.

It's just big business that is affecting our favorite football teams. This is what greed looks like anywhere else in the world of commerce.

Maybe we should all come up with a cool fight song about NIL and make it more palatable.

Bama paid 400K for a 4 star cornerback last year lol, y’all aren’t waiting until they prove it to give them the big money. Unless of course you don’t think 400K is “big money”

W2 or 1099? Would like to see his W4 if he is employed.

I don't know where you're getting that, but nonetheless I've stated here several times that Saban disliking a system and Saban being forced to work within a system are two different things.

In other words, he may not like it, and he may have been late to the party because of that, but if you don't think he'll adapt and potentially exploit any scenario to his benefit, then I don't know what to tell you.

What I'm also saying is him being made to do it (just in order to compete) may be the end of his coaching tenure if something doesn't change.

"Is this what we want football to be?"

I don't follow Bama.

Was it a kid out of high school?
Or a portal transfer?
