Doc Sadler as head coach with Jeremy Cox as associate head coach would be a good choice.
This is genius. I've seen several Sadler threads and a Cox thread, believe it or not. I think that guy referred to Cox as, "that Westark guy".

They both coached at Westark. You could add the current head coach Josh Newman to the assistant list to really get the wheels rolling...

Anything you need to know about how Newman runs his program I am your man. I take inside to a whole other level on that. 100% serious.
(to help out on any thread where we pretend he is a real candidate and give reason why he would help)

Doc Sadler as head coach
Dude is a great defensive minded basketball coach. But he cannot motivate kids worth a shite. His teams cannot score. His teams cannot make free throws to save their lives.
I'm no Arkansas fan, but even I wouldn't wish Doc Sadler on ya'll. There's better to be had.

May or may not have went to UA-FS my first year of school before going to the UA and worked with him and the assistant coaches.
He runs a tight ship, good family man!

I was hoping he'd go to Tech, but looks like they're going to hire Gillispe.

Yeah, people talk about home runs all the time, but you know what is really impressive? Reaching first on a dropped third strike...

Donovan is mad.
" The unfortunate part is they're going to get a good coach, and it's a good program, and it's a good situation."

Got this info from a buddy of mine ************** with many Arkansas alumni and contacts. He himself is an UA grad. I'm not sure how sensitive it is, he didn't say.
Arkansas' top five is fairly firm. Number 1 is Bill Self. That is a longshot, but Arkansas believes that they have a play because the Big 12 is on such shaky ground. Numbers 2 and 3 are Bill Self's good friend, Billy... Gillispie (who most Arkansas fans still hate because he accepted the job four years ago only to spurn Arkansas and go to Kentucky) and Tim Floyd (I have no idea how this cheater is even being considered.) Number 4 is Mike Anderson. There will always be folks who want Mike Anderson back, especially as the passing years (and horrible Hog basketball) has softened most Arkansans view of Nolan Richardson. I have close info from Mike Anderson's staff that he is very happy at Mizzou and the school administration has been very good to him. Number 5, and the most likely scenario, is Buzz Williams of Marquette.
Tubby Smith was mentioned, but most believe that he is washed up. Travis Ford was also mentioned because Arkansas AD Jeff Long hired him at Eastern Kentucky. However, it is unlikely that Arkansas would follow up Pelphrey with another white boy Kentucky legend. If Ford didn't work out, they would have to hire Richie Farmer next with that 8th grade hillbilly mustache.
