And with Arkansas you need to wait two days after the presser to know that we've actually hired a coach. :altman:

Kentucky and Kansas went close to 20 years between national titles. UCLA hasn't won one since 95. Duke went close to a decade between titles, twice.

Indiana's last title was in 1987.

Arkansas' last was 94, we made it back to the title game in 95, a sweet 16 in 96 and 93, and elite 8 in 92 and a final four 90. From 1988 to 2001 we missed the NCAA's once, finishing 4th in the NIT. The NIT should not have happened, the NCAA DQ'd two of our best players in Jesse Pate and Sunday Adebayo. Sunday transfered to Memphis and was later re-granted lost eligibility at Arkansas by the NCAA...

Florida has only 4 final fours, 96, 2000, 2006, 2007. No elite 8 finishes, sweet 16's in 87, 99, 2011. After their NC's they went to consecutive NITs, and NCAA 1st round loss before making it back to the sweet 16 this year.

Donovan has given them their history, Florida may be a better job currently, but all time fall behind several other programs...

How many pages is Tennessee's coaching search thread going to be?

If they had a women's search it'd be about 1,000 pages. Men, I think we got it covered.

They are all sold on Lawrence Frank being their next head coach. The guy who has never coached college ball, never made his HS basketball, was the guy who washed jockstraps and iced the water for Bobby Knight at Indiana, and Stands a whopping 5'4".

Jason Kidd is only 6'4" FWIW

whether or not you played at the pro level or even college level is about the most over-rated thing ever when it comes to coaching

Bill Bellicheck? Bill Parcells? Bill Walsh? Marv Levy? Sean Payton?

They were all water boys

The first day of being 21, I swore I'd never drink again due to the previous night...

It didn't quite work out that way...

Happy birthday pioneer and belated to you Marty. Glad you survived the ordeal. I can't quite remember back that far. Methuselah was on my high school basketball team.
