Billy also dropped an "Its unfortunate they will hire a great coach this time..."
He came off like a whiny bitch because we took away one of his guaranteed wins from a coach who would lay down and bleed for him...

It's not a top 10 job right now, but it has been in the past and can be again. Right now, probably top 20.

EDIT: Billy D's quote has has already been addressed, so i will mention that i worked a summer job in a warehouse one year and there was a big controversy because the pre-op dude in high heels and make-up wanted to use the women's restroom but the women wouldn't let him, and none of the men wanted him in the men's room, so he was given a key to management's personal bathroom.

The top jobs are never debatable IMO
Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Duke, UCLA
Indiana has fallen on hard shite times over the last while, but still considered a top tier job.
I'd list the top 10 all time programs/jobs as this
1. UNC
2. UCLA
3. Kentucky
4. Kansas
5. Duke
6. Ohio State
7. Michigan State
8. Indiana
9. Louisville
10. Arkansas
All of those teams are in the top 6 all time in Final Four appearances. All of them are part of the "40 win club" historically in the NCAA's. All of those programs have many, many conference titles. Facilities, money, fan bases, etc..

In 2002 Street and Smith and USA Today both listed Arkansas as the #7 All-Time program. Both publications had us behind UCLA, UNC, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky and Kansas.
Our historical resume backed that up. We were the 2nd winningest team of the 90's as well.
That was 9 years ago so I think it is reasonable to say we have dropped a few slots after a decade of bad basketball. With that said, Arkansas can be a Top 10 program again with an ease that most would not have.

That's fairly accurate. Duke, NC, Kansas, and Kentucky would be my top 4 in recent years, and not in any specific order. Arkansas is definitely a top 10.

Todd Day wants to be on Mike's staff, and he wants our recruiting pipeline to open back up in Memphis.
Interesting...
He has a son/step-son that is suppose to be pretty good?
I can't wait to see who ends up on Mike's staff here...

It's gonna be like playing with a brand new deck of cards, loading us up with aces and kings. Good things are gonna happen.

You gotta believe Anderson is super fired up about this job. You know he is going to hit the ground running here.

In today's ADG, B.J. Young was quoted as saying:
"He and I have a good relationship from all the times we've met each other. I like his style of play. He gets up and down the court and plays fast and gets out on the break and has an up-tempo defense with full-court pressure. I want to talk to him and see what he thinks of everything."
Marshawn Powell tweeted:
"Well Im back...Who don't want to play for Mike Anderson?"
Devonta Abron was quoted as saying:
"I'll listen to what he has to say. I want to know how he'll utilize me."
Madden is said to be on board, Ross was regardless. Mickelson is the only real question at this time. If Mike wants all of them...

I think Mike will be able to keep most of the existing recruits, if not all, and we'll see a lot of improvement next year, and the next, and the next... Things are about to change ...for real!

Archie says Mike was a "good hire", which means we have a realistic shot, something we did not have with Pel...

probably agree. although 20 years ago I think everyone would have put indiana in that group too
quote:
6. Ohio State
7. Michigan State
8. Indiana
9. Louisville
10. Arkansas
here it gets sketchier IMO... other than Indiana which is a slam dunk to be at least this high.
At the risk of inflating already substantial egos in Florida. I think Florida is probably a better job than several of those now (and certainly Arkansas)
There's a reason Billy D isn't going anywhere. There might not be a better place in the country for him to coach
