Exactly. Mike has wanted this job for 10 years, and he got it. If offered he was going to accept no doubt.

Mike is a great coach, and was hindered by the 3rd fiddle basketball program that is Mizzou. Kansas, Kansas St, Illinois all take all the top recruits from that area. Mizzou is the step child of that area.

Long and BOT had decided to target Mike Anderson, and they we're getting the feelings of former players and Nolan Richardson and they all said they were completely on board with it. Actually, Nolan was a talking head in all of this that helped get Mike to Arkansas. Mike and Long couldn't talk directly so they were negotiating between Jimmy Sexton and Nolan Richardson.

Just wanted to pop in to say Congratulations on the hire. It took you bastards long enough, but you got it done. Anderson seems like a pretty good hire.
