Honestly the more I think about it, I could really see Auburn hiring Jimbo.

According to who?
And in that scenario who wouldn’t just make them fire him to get the buyout?
Unless he’s drinking again what leverage would they have?
And even if they have leverage and use it they come out looking like Auburn where they went public with the affair scandal and poisoned the well moving forward with other elite candidates in the future.
