I think it's a good chance that TAM can beat Bama this year. But the comparison isn't really apple to apples. I would point out that Bama's recent success is far greater than TAM's and its only a 1 game trend. Plus, I'm sure you would agree that Bama has a distinct talent advantage especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Not sure why you seem so bent out of shape over someone believing Ark might beat Au at Ark this year. Do you not believe there is chance that happens or do you think Au wins this game easily?

Auburn was worse than Arkansas last year, but UA also lost key offensive pieces... I don't think it's too far off base to think the two teams are on equal footing headed into 2013.

On paper, the deciding factor at this time is home field... but with the new staffs and a lot of football to be played between now and then, I could see Auburn winning that game.

Time will tell

That's how I see the game but in a different wording . I'm interested to see which teams step up this year, Ark, Au & UT.

Meanwhile, Gus Malzahn only has to re-correct some flaws from the offense being changed 1 year ago. Most of the players on roster have already played for the Gus Bus.
Most of those players also played for the Gus Bus in the 2011 season, which fielded a crappy offense as well.

Typically happens when you completely rebuild on the offensive side of the ball. 4 of the 5 offensive linemen were 1st time starters, Emory Blake was the only returning wide receiver, and Barrett Trotter and Clint Moseley were running the offense.

Our roster and depth chart, as of now, is far and away different from 2011's, and in a good way.

Nope...most were behind others in the depth chart. Lutz started over CJ, Dyer started over Mason(until the bowl), Blake and Stallworth were the WRs(over Denson and Reed), and Frazier played behind both Trotter and Mosely.

It's still recent success, as you have relied heavily on with your posts.

Absolutely, but Auburn has an advantage over Arkansas on both sides of the ball and you're giving them the advantage.

Not sure why you think I'm bent out of shape. I'm simply arguing with you in a respectful manner.

Auburn wins. I don't care how, when or where, but they do.

Washington State = win
Arkie State = win
Miss State = win
@ LSU = loss
Ole Miss = loss
Western Car = win
@ TAMU = loss
Florida Atlantic = win
@ Arkansas = win
@ Tennessee = loss
Georgia = loss
Alabama = loss

I'll say 6-6, 2-6.

If things REALLY went well, I think they could win as many as 2 more games (ole miss, UT) which would put them at 8-4, but that would be just a stunning turnaround after last year's debacle.

Having a bye week before this game will be helpful.

Auburn fans trying to say they expect 9-3? Seriously?

The team was an epic dumpster fire last year, not only 0-8 in the SEC but got absolutely demolished in so many games.

While Chizik was a gigantic joke, it wasn't ALL his fault, clearly there are some major personnel issues.

Coaches, particularly system coaches like Malzahn, need time to get the system going.

I think a realistic prediction is 7-5. They'll win their cupcake games and maybe a few conference games and go to the weedeater bowl or something, which compared to last year should be welcome.
